The Four Clans // Silentsea's Secret

Chapter XVI

After Cinderblaze had left silentsea grabbed Sparrowleap by his neckfur and pulled him throught the forest while mumbling. "Hold on. please hold on. I need you" She kept on pulling till she reached the end of the Pine forest. Her eyes widened. *I cant hear his breath...Sparrowleap please dont be dead* she thought, and paniced. She put him down and nudged him, but he didnt responce. His eyes staring into nothing. 

"SPARROWLEAP NO!!" She cryed out. 

After she had calmed she thought about what she should tell the clan. After that she kept on pulling him back to the camp. She arrived as the sun was about to rise. She put Sparrowleap down in the middle of the clearing. Then she let out a loud Cry. The cry woke all the other cats in the clan making them leave their dens, Even Daisystar rushed out.

"WHAT IN STARCLANS NAME IS GOING ON HERE?! Who cryed out!", She growled before spotting Silentsea.

"Silentsea. Where were you all night, your lucky Stormrun looked after your kits-" She scolded her but stopped as she noticed the blood on her, Then the Body in the middle cought her attention. "What happened. Silentsea speak." She ordered. Silentsea couldnt manage to raise her voice. She was sobbing, her body trembling.

"Cats of Coveclan! Gather around the clearing!" 

Daisystar called out and soon all cats gathered, Stormrun stepped out of the nurcery followed by Her sisters kit. She sat down and wrapped her tail around them. Willowtail Joined The Silver she-cat and placed her tail in a way that the kits couldnt see anything. Cats muttered amongst each other, some crying out and some just silent in shock. 

"Silentsea." Daisystars voice echoed across the cats.

Silentsea looked up, her eyes filled with tears. Daisystar motioned her to move foreward next to the cats dead body she once called her mate. She pinned her ears down as she looked at sparrowleap, tears ran down her cheekfur. "Explain what happened. And choose your words wisely." Her leader spoke with a stern voice. Silentsea turned to her clan, took a deep breath and raised her head up.

"We got attacked by Foxes."
"Sparrowleap tryed to protact me and...", her voice broke

She managed to catch herself and continued. "We got injured, I pulled him back, hoping Brightface could help him, but when we reached the end of the forest..", she cut off once more.

"He died."

All cats looked at each other shocked, some seeking comfort from others. "Why were you even outside?", daisystar asked while stepping next to the young warrior. Silentsea explained that she only wanted to go for a quick walk and then it all happened. Daisystar nodded.

"Its a Shame that Sparrowleap died, but if he hadnt protected you, your kits would also have lost their mother." She placed her tail comfortingly over silentseas back. 

"Tonight we will hold a vigil for our fallen clanmate. May starclan welcome him into their Ranks." Her voice howled over the clearing. 

Slowly, cat after cat they approached Sparrowleap to share tongues with him one last time. The cats closest to sparrowleap sat vigil for him, amongst them being Goldenflame, Sparrowleaps Mentor, His brother Puddlepaw, Dappleheart and ofcouse silentsea. She sat the closest, buried her nose in his fur to breath in his scent. The rest of the clan went back to their nests. Willowtail guided Stormrun to the nurcery where she and her daughter watch over Silentseas kits while she griefed for her fallen Mate.

The next morning silentsea followed Willowtail and Hawkear to the camps exit , they were carrying sparrowleaps body to burry him. She looked after them till they dissapeared. As she lowered her head and turned around she saw two white paws infront of her. As she looked up she looked into the face of Stormrun. She looked her up and down, her eyes filled with worry and sorrow.
