The days leading up to the party were a flurry of preparation and training. Each member of the Avengers had their roles and responsibilities, ensuring that every aspect of the plan was flawless. Invitations were sent out, designed to be enticing yet deceptive, luring HYDRA into their trap.

Sera and Shuri found themselves paired for a particularly intense training session. Shuri, as the Black Panther, had been refining her abilities, while Sera was focusing on sustaining her energy and control over her powers. They faced each other in a specially designed training room, sparring and pushing each other to their limits. Shuri moved with the agility and grace of the Panther, her strikes precise and powerful. Sera countered with her own abilities, her movements fluid as she mimicked Shuri's techniques. The golden orbs of her mimicry powers glowed around her hands, a testament to her growing control.

"You're getting better," Shuri said, breathing heavily as they took a break. "Your endurance is improving."

Sera nodded, wiping sweat from her brow. "Thanks. It's still a struggle, but I feel like I'm getting there."

As they sat on the floor, catching their breath, Sera's expression grew thoughtful. "Shuri, can I talk to you about something?"

"Of course," Shuri replied, her curiosity piqued. "What's on your mind?"

"It's about Joshua. One of the other kids who was experimented on," Sera began, her voice tinged with uncertainty. "I remember him from when we were both in the Shadow Operatives program. He shared a cell with my sister, Evangeline and I. He was always kind to us, and protected us when he could. I... I always felt safe around him."

Shuri listened intently, sensing the weight of Sera's words. "You're worried he might show up at the party."

Sera nodded, her eyes filled with apprehension. "Yes. If he's there, I don't know if I'll be able to stick to the plan. Seeing him again... it might bring back too many memories. He was like a brother to me, Shuri. And if HYDRA still has him, if they've brainwashed him..."

Shuri placed a reassuring hand on Sera's shoulder. "It's understandable to feel that way. Joshua was a big part of your past, and it's hard to face those memories. But remember, you're not alone in this. We're all here to support you."

"I know," Sera said softly. "But it still scares me. What if I forget everything we've planned? What if I make a mistake because of him?"

Shuri's gaze was steady, filled with determination. "You won't be alone. We'll all be there, watching out for each other. And if Joshua does show up, we'll deal with it together. You're stronger than you think, Sera. Don't forget that."

Sera took a deep breath, trying to absorb Shuri's confidence. "Thank you, Shuri. I just needed to get it off my chest."

Shuri smiled warmly. "Anytime. Now, let's get back to training. We need to be ready for anything." And with that, they resumed their sparring, sharing jokes and working hard.

From a window on the second floor of the compound, Bucky watched Sera and Shuri train. He was impressed by how far she has come. Just a few weeks ago, she was ready to die fighting against him for HYDRA. Now, she would do anything to defeat them.

The sun cast long shadows across the ground, and the air was filled with the sounds of grunts and the occasional clang of metal. Sera was holding her own, but it was clear she was still adjusting to her newfound powers.

Yelena approached Bucky from behind, her footsteps light and graceful. She stopped next to him, mimicking his posture with a playful grin. "Enjoying the show?"
