We walk out into the training grounds, the sun now fully risen. Katar's new training wear looks beautiful and although her hair is wet and matted it doesn't matter to me. She seems to be more content now, a little less cold and unfeeling.

Training is already in full swing. Katara walks herself over to the padded trees, guards watch her like hawks. Ready to swoop in at any moment.

Unfortunately I have to go to a meeting. I turn away walking through the halls of the castle, the sun shining on my face. Walking into the meeting room I can already see my family seated as well as the advisers. I take my seat between my mother and sister.

"You're late" my sister hisses to me.

I look over to my younger sister arching my brow before I say "Am I? Court does not seem to be in session."

Her annoyance is amusing as she rolls her eyes and looks out into the round table of people.

"We are here to discuss the magical beings" my father says. Well now I know the meaning behind this meeting. "Apparently there are some that have escaped our eyes in the villages. Zalora is not safe with these people running loose" the advisers nod in agreement. I may admit that if these people are untrained to control their abilities they may pose a threat but all who I have seen seem to have control.

"And what threat do they pose?" I ask.

"They could rebel," says adviser Weltoff.

Adviser I don't know there name says "They could try and free the other magical beings. The kingdom would go to chaos." A chorus of voices erupt in the room as well as worried glances being shown around.

"Enough" my father slams his fist on the table. "We will find these beings and they will be subdued. Understood?"

"Father" his gaze turns to me "If you are so worried about them rebelling why train them?"

"As only this group of people know, the wall separating Zalora and Latira is weakening. Latira threatens war. And these magical beings as our weapons could be very useful." He talks about these people like there objects. They are so much more then that. Some of them are children.

My sister says "So where preparing for war?"

"Yes" my father says.

We hadn't had a war in centuries, not since when the wall was created. He's not going to try and save the magical people if they fall on the battle field. I know he won't. I can't stop this war thats impossible, so these people have to be prepared. They need to train and hard.

I clench my fists so tight my knuckles drain of colour "How long do we have until the war?"

"It's uncertain. Two weeks at the lowest and a few months at the most." After a few moments my father adds "This meeting is dismissed." I stand to leave as does everyone else as they file out. As I move to walk out my fathers hand clamps around my arm.

"What is it father?" my sister meets my side and I nod for her to leave and she does.

"My Queen" he looks at my mother "please leave us".

"As you wish" she says before walking out.

"My son, your infatuation with that magical being is" he pauses. I snatch my arm away.

"It's what father?" my voice is ice cold, my body tense as a brick.

"Don't get attached to her son. It will only end badly for you- and her. I've seen the way you look at her, and I advise you to stop it before I get involved."

"You can't control me father-" a loud slap sounds through the room. My cheek stings and my eyes water but I force not to let a single tear fall.

"Do you understand Prince Verian Salazar?"

I glare at him "Yes father." He stares at me unmoving and I know he wants me to use his proper title. Through gritted teeth I say, "Yes King Salazer" how I wish I could be someone else. In no time I will be King Salazar and he will have stepped down from the thrown. I will rule a kingdom no matter how much I don't want to. The responsibility of millions of lives will be on my hands. The pressure would crush me. It will crush me.
