Hae-in was feeling quite worried, so Hyun-woo decided to take her out to lift her spirits. They ended up going to a grand and beautiful mall because Hyun-woo needed to do some shopping.

As they entered the mall, Hyun-woo looked around and said, "This mall is really impressive, isn't it?"

Hae-in, who is the CEO of a department store herself, couldn't help but feel a bit jealous. Trying to hide it, she replied with a cute hint of jealousy, "It's not that special. I've seen better."

Hyun-woo chuckled at her reaction, finding her competitiveness endearing.

As they walked further into the mall, Hae-in started to relax, enjoying the time together and secretly comparing everything to her own store. Despite her initial jealousy, she couldn't help but appreciate the outing and Hyun-woo's effort to make her feel better.

It was surprising that Hyun-woo, who usually had little interest in shopping, had suggested coming to the mall today. As they browsed through the stores, he didn't pick out a single thing for himself. Instead, he focused entirely on finding items for Hae-in and their baby.

Hae-in watched him with a mix of amusement and affection. It was clear that his only goal was to make sure they both had everything they needed. Whether it was tiny outfits for the baby or something special for Hae-in, he was completely absorbed in the task.

"Are you sure you don't want to get anything for yourself?" Hae-in asked, smiling as he held up yet another adorable baby onesie.

Hyun-woo shook his head, grinning. "Nope, today is all about you and the baby. Besides, I have everything I need right here," he said, giving her a warm look.

POV of Hae-in

What a strange guy, really. He dragged me here saying he had a lot of shopping to do, but once we got here, he hasn't picked out a single thing for himself. Instead, he's been buying something for me or for the baby.

What's even more amazing is that he's buying everything for a baby girl. I know he's always wanted a daughter, and seeing his excitement makes me wish for a baby girl too.

But there's one thing that's really bothering me. He's not here to shop for himself; he's here because he wants to buy gifts for our baby before he leaves us. He's picking out gifts for every birthday, and watching him do this doesn't make me happy at all. I can't stand the thought of living even one day without him, and yet, here he is, planning for a future where he's not around.

I couldn't handle watching this anymore, so I made an excuse about needing to go to the washroom and walked away.

POV End

When Hae-in returned to the spot where she had left Hyun-woo, she was alarmed to find him gone. Her heart raced as worry consumed her. Hyun-woo's hallucinations had been getting worse lately, causing him to sometimes lose track of where he was. The terrifying memory of the day he wandered to Yongdu-ri, confused and unaware of how he got there, flashed vividly in her mind.

Desperately, Hae-in began searching for him, asking strangers if they had seen him, but no one could provide any answers. Her anxiety grew with each passing moment.

Suddenly, she felt a light tap on her shoulder. Spinning around, she saw Hyun-woo standing there holding shopping bags, looking slightly puzzled but safe. Relief washed over her, and without hesitation, she threw her arms around him, holding him tightly. Hyun-woo embraced her just as firmly, sensing her distress.

"What's wrong?" he asked gently, his voice filled with concern.

Hae-in, always the one to maintain a strong front, quickly composed herself. "Nothing," she replied, hiding the trembling in her voice. "I'm just really hungry." But as she spoke, her grip on him tightened, revealing the depth of her fear and relief.
