(You're POV, a few hours later)

"What did the job poster say again?" I asked Gray as we made our way to the location of our job.

"Please help! A small dark guild has infiltrated our town and had completely taken over! We are running out of food and going crazy locked in our homes. Someone save us!!" He read.

"What!? You said there was a town being held hostage, nothing about it being a dark guild!!!" I exclaimed in surprise.

"Ohhh did I forget to mention that?" Gray said, rubbing the back of his neck. I took the request out of his hand, rolled it up, and smacked him with it.

"We can't take down a dark guild just the two of us! We at least should have Natsu here if not Erza too!!" I stated the obvious.

"Relaxxx. The request says it's small. We've gotten a lot stronger recently, I wouldn't bring you on a job if I didn't think you and I couldn't handle it together." He said, glancing over at me.

"You think I've gotten stronger?" I asked curiously.

"Well yeah, you don't just train and not get better." I stopped walking for a moment out of shock before continuing on.

"I didn't tell anyone I've been doing extra training. How did you know??"

"Well first, like I said, you've gotten stronger, it's hard not to notice. And I've stumbled upon you training a few times. You don't have a very good hiding spot." He chuckled. "But I didn't want to bother you so I left you be." He explained.

"Oh okay Mr.Stalker." I joked. It's all I could come up with because I could feel an odd sensation in my stomach as I thought, He noticed I've gotten stronger?

We walk for about an hour longer before we arrive at the edge of the town. It seems to be in shambles. There isn't a person in the streets, not a shop or restaurant open. It's sad to see a once very lively town so quiet.

"Where do you think the guild members could be?" I asked Gray.

"Not sure. One of these buildings around here, I guess." We began down the empty streets in search for a house or a shop that looks off in any way.

"They could be anywhere. How are we supposed to find them without breaking into citizens homes?" I wondered. Before Gray had the opportunity to respond, we heard a noise coming from a few feet behind us and we both immediately spun around to see what it was.

"Who allowed you out of your cages, scum?" A woman said. She was tall and extremely beautiful. She had a golden dress on with a golden sunhat. She was glowing; even her eyes seemed to be colored gold.

"Who allowed you to lock them in there in the first place?" I responded.

"Ahh, you must be the help they said would come for them any day now. Only two of you? This must be some sort of joke." She laughed.

"What is your purpose here?" I inquired firmly.

"We were bored." She replied bluntly.

"Excuse me?" I said, taken aback.

"Now you're really getting on my nerves." Gray says as he positions himself in a fighting stance. I join him.

"I truly pity you, this is going to be such a pathetic fight." The woman said.

"Earth-make, rocks!" My classic and simple move, large boulders in a line, each one bigger than the last, creating boulder stairs. I ran up them as fast as I could before shouting, "Dirt, dust, stones, shoot!!" And she was immediately engulfed by a storm of large stones, clumps and particles of dirt, brought together by rough dust. Usually this attack alone takes down the enemy, but once the storm cleared she stood in the same place, unscathed. "What!? It didn't do anything!?" I yelled, not sure if it was to her, Gray, or myself.
