"Did you find anything?"
"Yes, sir. Hwang Hyunjin was born to his parents Hwang Haneul and Lee Yongmin on March 20th, 2000 in Seoul. His parents struggled with infertility until they welcomed their second child, Hwang Hyerin, on October 2nd 2020 also in Seoul."
"So she's just turned three?"
"Yes, sir."
"Why is she in hospital? Considering how decorated her bed was, it seems like she's been there for a while."
"She was born prematurely due to her parents being in a car crash early into the pregnancy so she's suffered a lot of difficulties. She often has seizures and struggles to eat."
"What happened to the parents?"
"Mother didn't make it, the doctors had to choose between saving her or the baby. The baby had a higher chance of survival."
"And the father?"
"Couldn't live without his wife.."
"So Hwang's been raising his sister alone this whole time?"
"Yes, sir."
"Hm," Minho hummed as he put away some paperwork. He was interested in Hyunjin and how he was able to keep his life so private for so long. "Where's Hwang now?" Minho asked, "Bring him to me."
"Haven't you heard, sir? His sister is in a coma,"
"What?"

Hyunjin was sat alone, drinking his third glass of whatever it was he ordered - he couldn't remember anything at that point since he rarely drank - when a random man approached him and asked to sit by him.
Hyunjin was confused why the man didn't sit in any of the other empty chairs around them but didn't question it. He wasn't in the mood argue.
"Bad day?"
Great. Now he was trying to make conversation.
"You could say," Hyunjin groaned, pressing the heel of his hand against his left eye. He had a really bad migraine.
"You got a headache?" The guy asked, fishing for something in his pocket and sliding it towards Hyunjin, "Here, this should help."
"What is it?" Hyunjin asked, hardly able to focus on anything.
"Painkillers,"
"No, thanks," Hyunjin pushed them away. He may have been tipsy but he knew better than to take random things from random people. Especially when he was drunk.
"Fair enough," the guy took them back and asked Hyunjin if he could buy him a drink.
"Look," Hyunjin snapped with tears swelling in his eyes, "The guy I like is going out with someone else and my baby sister just had a seizure and isn't waking up and I don't know if she will. I've been working my ass off as a fucking bodyguard to an absolute prick trying to pay off her hospital bills to the point I hardly see her and it was all for what? What was the point of working so hard if I'm going to lose her? I'm a terrible brother. It wasn't enough. None of it was enough. So please leave me alone."
"I'm, uh, just going to take my leave," the guy got up to leave, pushing his glass towards Hyunjin first, "You should take this. You seem like you could use it. Don't worry, I didn't drink from it."
Hyunjin watched him walk away then glanced at the glass in front of him. "Ah, what the hell, I'm too broke to get another one anyways," he muttered to himself before downing it.
He sat there for a little while longer before he felt his stomach churn and his eyes burn. "Ah.." he groaned in pain, doubling over and clenching his chest as he felt his heart ache. He began to wheeze and his vision got blurry causing him to sway. He struggled to keep himself upright and eventually lost balance.
Someone in a black suit and a grey long coat caught him before he hit the floor and slid their arms under his back and knees, carrying him out of the bar.
Hyunjin desperately tried to stay awake and tried to get a glimpse of the person carrying him but he felt another shock of a sharp pain causing him to burry his face in the person's chest before losing consciousness.
"Hwang? Hey, you okay? Stay with me, Hwang. Hwang!"

Minho paced back and forth with his arms crossed and small droplets of water dripping from his hair that was drenched from running all over town in the middle of a storm searching for Hyunjin.
"Mr Lee?" The doctor walked out.
Minho spun around and hurriedly walked up to her asking, "What happened? Is he going to be okay?"
"He's stable for now," she answered and looked up at Minho with an apologetic expression, "We found traces of poison in his system."
"Poison?" Minho furrowed his brows.
"Cyanide," the doctor continued, looking back down at her clipboard, "Luckily you brought him here just in time for us to flush it out before it became fatal. He hasn't shown any major symptoms yet, but there's still a possibility he could be severely hurt so we're going to monitor him for a while."
Before Minho could react, one of the nurses rushed out with flushed cheeks, "Dr Go!"
The colour from Minho's face drained as he watch the doctors performing CPR on Hyunjin who's heart monitor was screeching in the background. He clenched his jaw with his arms crossed when one of his assistants came up to him.
"Sir, there's been a development in the breach case, Mr Bang has requested to speak to you in person,"
Minho glanced at Hyunjin and nodded his head, "Get the car ready, I'll be there soon."
"Yes, sir."
Minho reluctantly turned around to walk out the room and made his way out, glancing into the next room where Hyerin was. He wasn't sure why, but before he left to look for Hyunjin, Minho asked for Hyerin to be transferred to a private hospital to get better treatment. He was taking care of the bills. He hadn't met the girl for long but still felt the need to protect her.
When he got into the car, he couldn't stop fidgeting around, feeling restless not knowing what was happening back at the hospital. For the first time in ever, he couldn't focus on his work.
"Fucking Hwang," he muttered under his breath, annoyed.
