As soon as Minho left the room, the detectives that were investigating the serial killer came to question Hyunjin but the doctors advised them against it. They asked them to wait a few days for Hyunjin to recover first.

"Hey, Hwang, how you holding up?" Changbin asked when he came back into the room holding a cup of iced coffee and a bottle of water, "Sorry, you're not allowed to have any coffee just yet."

"It's alright," Hyunjin chuckled, thanking Changbin's for the water, "Man, it feels so weird to know that I've been asleep for.."

"Three months," Changbin said causing Hyunjin's jaw to practically drop to the floor.

"Damn, just feels like I've woken up from any other night," Hyunjin said in disbelief before asking, "How's Hyerin? Has she woken up yet?"

Changbin nodded, "She woke up about six weeks ago. She's staying with Minho."

"She is?" Hyunjin looked at him in surprise.

"Mhm, he's been taking her for swimming lessons on the weekends and takes her to work with him so she can get tutored," Changbin explained.

Was this seriously the same Minho Hyunjin knew before he went into a coma?

"What's up with Lee anyways? He was crying earlier. It was kind of unsettling," said Hyunjin.

"He's not really been himself these past few months," Changbin replied, "You should've seen the goatee on that man a few weeks ago."

"Ah, have they still not sorted out the thing with the breach?" Hyunjin asked. He had almost forgotten about the breach.

"Uh, no," Changbin answered, thinking to himself, 'Is that all he thinks it is? He really mustn't know how much the guy cares for him.'

Changbin was going to suggest Hyunjin got some keep since it was getting late, but he completely forgot that the younger had been asleep for three months so instead he decided to stay up with him all night to catch him up on everything that had happened over the last few months.

"They got Felix?" Hyunjin clenched his fists frustratedly, but his gaze softened when he remembered how Seungmin felt about the freckled boy, "How'd Kim take it?"

"No better than Minho with you,"

Hyunjin scoffed, "You made it sound like the man likes me. He's incapable of doing anything nice."

Changbin raised his eyebrows at Hyunjin and said, "He cares about you more than you think."

"How would you know?" Hyunjin asked, "I've spent almost four years with this guy and he hasn't had one good thing to say to me. Heck, he hardly even looked in my direction."

"In front of you," said Changbin.

"What?"

"He can hardly keep his eyes off you when you're not looking," Changbin teased, "The amount of times he's been scolded by Chan because he was too distracted by you in business meetings."

"I've been to meetings with him, he doesn't seem very distracted to me, he's just busy throwing insults at me," Hyunjin rolled his eyes.

"Why do you think he's constantly trying to get a reaction out of you, hm? You wants your attention," Changbin smirked and wiggled his eyebrows at Hyunjin who just glared right back at him.

"Shut up, he doesn't like me," Hyunjin pulled a face.

Changbin threw his hands up in the air defensively, "Hey, whatever helps you sleep, but you can't deny that he does care about you. That man has done more in the investigation to find who did this to you than the damn detectives themselves."

Before Hyunjin could react, there was a knock on the door and it slowly creaked open. Changbin jumped onto his feet and stood in front of Hyunjin protectively.

Back when Minho found out the bartender was gone, Seungmin and Changbin were at the hospital with Hyunjin when Changbin got a call from Minho.

"Hello?" Changbin answered, putting the phone on loudspeaker.

"Seo, where are you?" Minho asked groggily.

Changbin and Seungmin looked at each other, immediately realising he wasn't himself.

"I'm at the hospital with Kim, I was going to swap shifts with him. Is everything okay? You don't sound too good."

"Ah, I'm fine, I just had a couple of drinks, that's all," Minho slurred his words.

"Are you alone?" Seungmin asked in concern.

"No, I'm here too," Chan said, sounding a bit disgusted.

Before either Seungmin or Changbin could ask what was up with him, they could hear Minho retching on the other side of the phone and pulled a sour face at the same time.

"You're a brave man, Bang Chan," they said.

"You don't want to know how many times I've been in this exact bathroom in the same situation," Chan groaned before talking to Minho, "Hey, it's alright. You got it. You'll be fine."

"They're like a gross married couple," Seungmin pulled a face, "Hey, old man, if this is all you called us for, we're going to cut the call."

"Hwang Hyunjin..." Minho groaned.

"Hm?" Seungmin, Changbin and Chan all hummed in response.

"If they find out he still has a chance of getting better, they might come back.." Minho continued, heaving heavily, "Promise me.. you'll protect him."

No one could help but smile sweetly at Minho's worries. Seungmin and Changbin answered, "Of course. We promise no one will hurt him."

"Who's there?" Changbin asked sharply.

Jisung slightly poked his head in and said, "It's me, can I come in?"

"Yeah, sure," Hyunjin answered and Jisung walked in.

"Hey," Jisung smiled.

"Hey," Hyunjin smiled back.

"How you doing?" Jisung asked.

"You've just saved me from a very uncomfortable conversation so I'd say pretty good," Hyunjin chuckled, "How have you been?"

"I've been already. Hyerin's been great too," Jisung answered, "She's been getting tutored. You're going to be so proud of her when you see how far she's come. She can write her name all by herself too. Kinda."

Hyunjin laughed when there was another knock on the door and two detectives walked in, "Mr Hwang, I'm Detective Kang and this my partner, Detective Baek, we're here to ask you a few questions about the night you were poisoned. We believe you may hold some valuable information that could help solve this case."

"Didn't the doctors tell you to give him a few days?" Changbin asked.

"We've been given the all clear," said Detective Baek, "All of Mr Hwang's have come back clear and his monitoring has also been improved."

"Seo, it's fine. I want to help with the investigation anyways," said Hyunjin when he noticed how uneasy Changbin looked.

"Are you sure?" Changbin asked, still wary about leaving Hyunjin when he's only been awake for a day. Hyunjin nodded with a smile in response so Changbin put his arm over Jisung's shoulders and walked out with him, "Okay, we'll just be outside."

Hyunjin slightly frowned when they shut the door. Right. He forgot they were seeing each other.

"What did you want to ask me?" Hyunjin asked, sitting up straight in his chair but he almost instantly regretted agreeing to it because all the questions he was being asked felt very suggestive.

He was expecting to be asked where he was and who he saw at the time of his poisoning, but instead he was being asked about the company and if he knew how to get ahold of certain poisons.

"I-I don't understand what you're trying to ask of me?" Hyunjin stuttered, feeling overwhelmed especially with the detectives looming over him making him feel cornered.

Suddenly the door slammed open.

"What the hell is going on here?"
