6 | Serial Killer

"Minho? Minho," Chan called out several times, trying to snap Minho out of his trance, "Hey, you okay? You've been in a daze since you got here."

"I'm fine," Minho replied, reaching over for a glass of water, "What were you saying?"

"You're probably getting sick cuz of how drenched you are," Chan pointed out worriedly so he sent Minho to take a shower and change into some of his clothes.

"I'm not wearing your clothes, Bang Chan,"

"Don't be a baby, Minho, just go change and I'll fill you in on what's been going on," Chan pointed to his bedroom.

They had gone to his penthouse since the company was still being swarmed by the press.

Minho huffed and reluctantly went to Chan's bedroom to take some clothes with him to change into after taking a warm shower.

As Chan was waiting, Felix and Changbin arrived.

"Did you guys hear what happened to Hyunjin?" Felix asked in concern.

"No, what happened?" Chan asked curiously.

"He was poisoned and had to go to hospital," Felix replied with a frown. He was good friends with Hyunjin so he was really anxious about the situation and the possibility of losing him.

"What?" Chan asked in surprise, "No wonder Minho's been so out of it, he must be worried sick."

Seungmin couldn't help but overhear their conversation and walked up to them to ask if anyone knew which hospital he was at. Felix replied saying he was most likely at the private hospital their family would often go to for serious medical care.

"Chan, is it okay if I go visit him?" Seungmin asked causing everyone to look at him in surprise. He looked genuinely concerned.

"Erm, yeah, sure, I've got Changbin anyways so I'll be fine," said Chan.

Seungmin thanked him with a bow and left in a hurry.

"You reckon it was that serial killer?" Changbin asked.

Chan and Felix looked at him with questionable looks, "What serial killer?"

"You haven't heard?" Changbin asked, "There's been a number of deaths over the past couple of months and they all died of poisoning. CCTV showed a man handing them all drinks moments before they pass."

"If it's been caught on CCTV, how have the police not been able to catch the suspect yet?" Felix asked as Chan reached out for his remote to put the news on the TV.

"Police have found yet another body suspected to be the thirteenth victim of this so-called serial poisoner who is still on the loose. There is a nationwide investigation underway and police urge anyone with any information to come forward..."

"Thirteen?" Felix's frowned, "That's so heartbreaking. Imagine how their families are feeling right now."

"What's going on?" Minho asked, coming out of Chan's room and sitting next to Felix, patting his head, "You okay?"

"We've just learnt that there's a serial killer on the loose," Chan nodded towards the TV.

"What?" Minho turned around.

"Traces of cyanide have been discovered in the victims' systems, confirmed to be the cause of death..."

"Did she just say cyanide?" Minho asked with furrowed brows.

"Yeah, why?" Changbin answered.

"I need to go," Minho jumped back onto his feet, grabbing his coat as he ran out of the door.
