Jungkook shot him a stern look. "It's against our principles to discuss these matters with outsiders," he said firmly.
"But I want to know about you both. We've been friends for a year, and I don't know much about your backgrounds," Jimin pouted.
I couldn't help but smile at Jimin's pout. "Alright, Jimin. We can tell you a few things," I said, glancing at Jungkook for green signal, who sighed but nodded in agreement.
Jimin leaned in, eager to listen. "Jungkook is from the Scarlet Scorpions gang, and Kim family is Obsidian Wolves gang. These are the two most powerful gangs in Korea. A few years ago, a new gang emerged out of nowhere—the Black Dragon gang. We don't know how it formed or who its leader is, but in just a few months, it gained name for being one of the most dangerous criminal organizations in the country. They are now considered as powerful as the Scarlet Scorpions and the Obsidian Wolves."
Jimin's eyes widened. "That sounds intense but why Black Dragon gang is so dangerous?"
"Their leader," I continued. "He communicates through anonymous texts, and even his own people don't know anything about him—not his age, not his face, not even his real name. They control everything from drug trafficking and human trafficking to extortion and assassinations. Their network of informants and enforcers is vast and highly efficient."
"They've managed to infiltrate every level of society, making them nearly impossible to track or take down," Jungkook added. "We've been trying to gather information on them for months, but it's like chasing shadows—we've got nothing substantial."
"So, there are only three gangs in Korea?" Jimin questioned.
"No, there are many gangs in Korea, all of them either working under or aligning with one of the major gangs for their own safety," I explained. "Before the rise of the Black Dragon gang, there was another gang considered among the top—the Python gang. They were our rivals. When they attempted to attack us, their boss was killed in the confrontation. They had a son studying abroad, and we expected him to take over. But instead, the gang vanished without a trace."
Jungkook continued in a serious tone. "It's like they were wiped off the map overnight. No one knows what happened to them or their heir. It was almost too clean, like someone wanted them out of the picture entirely."
Jimin asked after thinking. "That sounds almost too clean, what if Black Dragon gang had anything to do with their disappearance."
I nodded thoughtfully. "It's possible. If we think about it in that direction, then the timing of the Python gang's vanishing and the sudden rise to power of the Black Dragon gang is the same year, so it totally makes sense."
Jungkook agreed. "So maybe they had a hand in the disappearance of the Python gang. They filled the void left by the Pythons perfectly. The underworld is ruthless, and once a place remains empty, it doesn't take long to fill it back."
