Ran - Unusual Happenings

You leave and think that the path must be closer then you thought, as you travel you see the path and sigh happily, giving the horses the reins they move quicker as start up the path, you look down at the road leading to this and see lights and raise a brow, reaching the stream they plow through it as you rock slightly checking the second cart.

They get quicker then you reach the open area, pulling over by the barn you see the sheds and laugh you go into the barn checking out what's about and smile letting them all out then unharnessing them all they all wander you place more straw down then hay, fruit, veg and feed, the carnivores get some snake meat for now as they lay in the straw you remove their coats.

Getting the line out you hang them all up to dry, then finding the barrels you place them out to catch the water along with buckets, pushing the caravan and cart to the back you unload the hay, straw and feed you picked up, checking what else you had you growl placing the trees and bush on the pulling cart you grab the shovel and leave.

Going to the area you see the green house you dig the holes, unwrapping them you place in and cover back up, as you were doing this they arrived, they saw the animals and van but not you as they park up they see you planting trees and sigh shaking their heads, you see the green house and think of the tomato and cucumber plants.

Trees and the bush planted you walk back to the barn, walking in you remove the gear and hang them up when your joined, smiling at them as you make the fire and boil water "so you saw me at a bad time. I have had hell the last week?" they grimace as you explain, then pale Ran asks "wolves, rats, boar, snakes and floods?" you nod.

He shivers, you hand out the tea as they sip and smile "I have managed to get some good things. I have fish fresh and salt water. Also some in oil? Shellfish, seaweed?, um other stuff. Clothing, bedding, plants, seeds, fabric, rice" you pulled into a hug then asked "snake?" you laugh heartily "yes, I had the same reaction it is actually quite nice".

Gasping you grab the furs and lay them out then hand over the sofa cushions you found they accept with a chuckle, as you place the oil on the fire and sort the meat Ran says "we got a caravan like ours for you?" your head snaps up and look at the vehicles then them asking "thank you, but why?".

Sighing Mikey answers "you can use yours when you go out, but this has a gas stove, shower? And you are one of us now" you blink back tears then smile "thank you, a shower would be great. Only so much a strip wash can help" Ran stiffened as they all huff a laugh, as the food cooks you say "have a look. Oh, I got stuff for vehicles don't know if it's any good?" standing they start to go through what you found and gape.

Sanzu says "Hunny, where did you get all this car stuff?" you think then reply "we stayed in a garage. It had a shop so I remembered you saying you had vehicles, I picked it all up in case" your hugged and gasp with a laugh and pat the arm, they start to unload as you leave them to it, all the things coming off they marvel as Rindou asks "where do you find all this?".

Looking then thinking back "I just stop and look, shops are left I check everywhere and steal from the dead. I traded a few bits with a small village?" they keep bringing stuff out when they see the wooden tub and the storage chest, looking inside they gasp glancing "oh, I felt kind of bad in taking that. It held wedding clothes, but I sent my thanks and a prayer, leaving the clothes".

They grimace but understand it would all rot anyway, seeing cases of drinks and cans of coffee and tea you say "let me know what some of it is? I just grabbed" snickering then they see the cook books as you ask "is that a cook book? I will need you to translate, I have so much food from here might as well know how to cook it?".

That gets you another hug, you giggle "come on food" you had made rice, fried snake and vegetables with cabbage, they sit down and look at the food and smile, taking a piece of the meat after they watch you eat it then closing their eyes and popping it in their mouths they gasp and chew, you chuckle "not bad right?" they nod you smile "the fox was awful, they had that".

Sanzu asks "fox?" you grimace but show the fur "I assume it's a fox. I had buried my books" they snicker and nod, Mikey asks "apart from the last week, did you have fun exploring?" smiling and nodding as you start to tell them what you did and where you went along with who you met, they listen and see their country in a different light.

As you think you gasp "I am sorry, I don't think we can grow rice?" smiling sadly but nod "we can always eat the rice from other countries?" you grin and nod "oh, I need to learn the languages or we might end up eating soap?" all four laugh as they eat the food with bottles of pop they hadn't seen in years.

Food done with you clean up and sigh as you lay down and say "I can have a good sleep now I am safe again" worried Rindou asks "you haven't slept properly?" rolling over "not since we were attacked by the wolves, then it was a shit storm. Every bloody day, we were all on edge. Just glad I didn't jinx us with the big cat comment" they gasp and laugh.
