It was finally the night for the first preview of Falsettos. Milo and Harper sat in the girls' dressing room while Act 1 was going on. Milo scrolled through her phone, trying to distract herself, while Harper did the same.

"Hey, Harp," Milo said, breaking the silence and placing her phone down next to her. She watched as Harper looked over at her.

"Yeah?" Harper responded, looking up from her own phone.

Milo sat up a little bit. "Do you think your brother likes me likes me? Because he's been extra flirty with me lately," Milo asked Harper, who thought for a second, her brows furrowing slightly.

"Christian?" Harper asked, looking slightly surprised. "Well, he has been spending a lot of time with you, hasn't he?"

Milo nodded, her face a mix of curiosity and uncertainty. "Yeah, and it's not just the usual friendly stuff. It's like he's... different around me more usual"

Harper tilted her head a little. "What do you mean?" Harper asked Milo, who looked back at her, trying to find the right words.

"He's complimenting me more, and he always finds a reason to be near me. It's like he's... different around me. And I've known him since middle school," Milo explained, her cheeks flushing slightly.

And just like that, Act One was over.

Harper looked at Milo with a reassuring smile. "I think, M, you should just not worry about it right now," Harper told her softly, the applause from the audience echoing through the dressing room as Christian and Anthony finished 'Father to Son.'

Milo nodded, appreciating Harper's advice. "You're right. I need to focus on the show tonight."

Harper gave Milo a warm smile, and as they heard the door to the dressing room open, they both looked over to see Stephanie walking in.

Harper's smile widened at the sight of her girlfriend, who shimmered in her costume under the bright lights.

"Hey, you two," Stephanie greeted cheerfully, closing the door behind her. "How's everything going?"

Milo managed a smile, feeling a bit more relaxed with Stephanie's presence. "We're doing alright. Just getting ready for Act Two."

Stephanie nodded understandingly. "You both are going to be fantastic. The audience is really into the show."

Harper nodded appreciatively, glancing at Milo before turning back to Stephanie. "Thanks, Steph. Your support means a lot."

Stephanie grinned. "Always here for you both. Break a leg out there."

As Stephanie settled in, Christian poked his head into the dressing room, catching Milo's attention. "Hey, M, do you want to go out for supper after the show?" he asked with a soft smile.

Milo looked over at Christian, her own smile widening. "Yeah, I would love to," she replied warmly.

Christian nodded eagerly. "Awesome!" he exclaimed before heading back towards the boys' dressing rooms.

Milo smiled warmly as Christian walked away, her heart fluttering a bit at his invitation for dinner. Harper looked at Milo with a knowing expression.

"He's also been asking you to go out to dinner a lot too," Harper remarked to Milo, who met her gaze.

Milo nodded slightly, a soft blush creeping onto her cheeks. "Yeah, he has been doing that more often," she admitted to Harper.

Harper grinned. "Sounds like someone might have a crush on you."

Milo chuckled nervously, feeling a mix of excitement and uncertainty. "Maybe... I'm not really sure."

Stephanie chimed in, offering her perspective. "Well, actions speak louder than words, right? And he's definitely been showing a lot of interest."

A few minutes later, Stephanie and Harper walked out of the dressing room to join the boys.

Milo was about to follow them when she realized that she needed to call her mom to let her know about the change in plans—she would be late picking up the boys because she was going out to dinner with Christian.

Milo quickly grabbed her phone and dialed her mom's number.

"Hey, Mom," Milo greeted as soon as her mom picked up. "I just wanted to let you know that I'll be a bit late picking up Finley and Jasper tonight."

Her mom responded with concern. "Oh, is everything okay? Did something come up?"

Milo hesitated for a moment, trying to find the right words. "Well, Christian asked me to go out to dinner after the show, and I thought it would be nice to spend some time together."

Her mom chuckled softly. "Oh, that sounds lovely, dear. Don't worry about picking up the boys on time. Enjoy your dinner."

Milo smiled, relieved. "Thanks, Mom. I'll make sure they're taken care of."

After exchanging a few more pleasantries, Milo ended the call and took a deep breath.

As the cast headed downstairs to the stage to prepare for Act 2, Andrew walked beside his older sister, Milo.

"So I heard you're going to dinner with Christian," Andrew said casually to Milo, who looked at him with surprise.

"Who told you that?" she asked, curious about how Andrew found out.

"Christian was telling us in the dressing room," Andrew replied with a soft laugh, glancing over at Milo.

Milo chuckled, feeling slightly embarrassed but also amused by Christian's openness. "I guess it's not much of a secret then."

Andrew grinned mischievously. "Nah, he's pretty excited about it. Are you?"

Milo nodded, her smile widening. "Yeah, I am."

"Are you two like a thing or—" Andrew started to ask, but Milo quickly cut him off, laughing softly.

Milo cut him off, gently placing a hand on Andrew's shoulder. "Let's talk about this later, okay?" she said softly, giving him a reassuring smile.

The two siblings smiled at each other warmly, sharing a moment of mutual understanding before catching up with the rest of the cast.

They joined in the lively chatter for a few minutes, exchanging last-minute thoughts and encouragements before the music started to play for Falsettoland.

Brandon, with a flashlight in hand, walked onto the darkened stage, his presence signaling the beginning of Act 2.
