The Spectacular Return

He stood at the top of the bank, his trained sight looking at one of his more notorious villains from his gallery. He sighed in a unique thought of desperation, not knowing just how his villains were this persistent. It was less to say that it was his job to stop crime like this, yet he was waiting for the moment to strike, a spider waiting to snare his prey in his web. But he was more surprised by the fact that he spent close to one year and two months in Kamar Taj and that New York was still standing. Sure, for the real world, he saw that only two weeks and four days had actually passed by, but it still came and shocked him to the core.

He now knew what he needed to know to actually stop Hobgoblin and Baron Mordo from unleashing the chaos that they wanted to fulfill in this altered reality that they had created. It was all thanks to the reformed Michael Morbius that he, and his group consisting of Strange and Romanoff, were able to figure out partially what the duo of villains wanted to do with the Word of God. He had been preparing himself for the moment that they had to strike at the villains in the Sanctum Sanctorum, the current base of the villainous activity. But he ignored those thoughts for the moment, jumping and crashing through the glass and diving straight at Doctor Octopus.

"Spider-Man!" He scoffed underneath his mask, already expecting this sort of reaction from the good old doctor. The villain actually looked younger, physically not demonstrating his actual age. But Peter knew otherwise, he knew exactly how to defeat the enemy in front of him. "I thought the Hobgoblin destroyed you!" He took a single second to realize something essential, a single sight that let him know of something that he definitely did not expect. Otto actually sneered at him, the same way that he would do before reality was bent by Hobgoblin manipulating the Word of God. It told him that Leed's little group was not as little as he and the rest expected. And don't let him get started on his previous words, a real hint at a connection between Octavius and Leeds. "I see that I have to attend to it personally!"

Two of Otto's metallic libs that came from the sides of his stomach lunged at him. He didn't try to evade, didn't even try to move from his position. He now had ways to defend himself from straight forward attacks, ways that he never expected to even have in the first place. So, as soon as the two limbs were closer to his person, the arachnid hero placed both of his arms across from his chest with his fingers imitating the same position that he would see Strange often do when he had his powers. It was then that an orange light shield manifested in front of him, immediately deflecting the two metallic limbs elsewhere.

"What in the...?" Peter Parker couldn't help but smirk as he saw the befuddled face of the villain in front of him. Just staring at the ignorant expression of the man gave him more satisfaction than the time he ruined the wedding between the villain and his Aunt May. But that was not here nor there at the moment. He needed to finally find a way to defeat Otto, a way to test his other skills in the mystic arts. Which was why he made a subtle change on his fingers, creating a duplicate of himself to take advantage of the situation. "I don't know what kind of trick this is..." It was then that with his master plan already in the works, he started to evade the metallic limbs of Doctor Octavius. Yet, unfortunately for him, it was not long before he got snared by the villains choice of weaponry. "But it will do you no good!"

He was pulled closer to the villain with his head looking at him upside down. He could feel slightly dizzy because of the position, but nothing that could affect him harshly. He had swung and balanced himself upside down thanks to his power, which helped him with his current situation. It was not like this was different than all those previous times, which made him stay as calm as he could be. Though he could see that it was getting the villain angrier at that fact. But he could hardly care about that, he had new skills that he was still trying out and Otto was none the wiser of those actions of his.
