Chapter 28

Shawn Pov

I'm really hungry this morning so o decide to go to the lobby where they have muffins and grab some for my hotel room that I share with Aaron and Taylor.

On my way down I bump into Cassie. "Oh gosh I'm so sorry!" Cassie squeals. "Oh, hey Shawn." she smiles.

"Hi." I say dully. Cassie frowns.

"What's the matter?" She asks.

"Nothing." I say.

"Are you sure? I was thinking that we could do another duet for the next magcon show. I was gonna ask you if you wanted to meet in my hotel room to work on it." She says.

I can't say no to another duet with Cassie. I like them too much. Plus, third times a charm. "Sure, that would be great." I say with a smile. I look down at the bag of muffins in my hand. "Muffin?" I offer her.

"No thanks I'm good. I just had some toast and orange juice." Cassie said.

"Oh okay. What time should I be at your room for?" I ask.

"Uh, it doesn't matter to me. Maybe about 1:00?" She suggests.

"Great. I'll see you then." I say. Cassie nods and waves goodbye as she walks to her hotel room.

I stop and stand there, just smiling to myself. I can tell I look like an idiot right now, I'm just really happy that I get to hang out with Cassie.

Chloe Pov

I'm at my hotel room when there's a knock on the door. I get up and answer it but I'm super surpised to see Taylor there. "I need to show you something." He sighs before I even say hello.

"Oh, okay. Is it important?" I ask.

Taylor hesitates. "Yeah."

"Lead the way." I instruct him. We make some small talk as he takes to this new destination. We're in the lobby when he stops abruptly in front of me and I bump into him. I laugh about it but he tells me to shush.

He grabs me by the hand and places me in a position to see what he wanted to show me. "Oh." Is all I say.

I see Jack and Madison standing right by the hotel doors kissing. Scratch that, making out. I'm not sure whether to be upset or angry, so instead I feel both emotions.

The thing that hurts the most is that Jack and I were supposed to go out tonight for dinner. And there he is, making out with Madison. Now I need to do something to hurt him even more.

I turn to Taylor. "Thank you."

"You're welcome. Maybe tonight we could go out to get your mind off things." Taylor says. I nod and we make plans. I give him a hug and then see Sam after.

"Hey guys." Sam says. I know Sam used to like me but I think it's passed by now.

"Hey." Taylor says. We make conversation on the show that we did yesterday. It was a pretty awesome show and I'm excited that there's even more to come.

We end up talking for a couple of hours about everything and I find out that Sam is over me. He's got a date tonight too. I'm honestly relieved that he doesn't like me anymore because there's so much guy drama even if it's unnoticed by the guys. It's difficult to explain.

Taylor and I realize that it's already time for dinner so we just go to Taco Bell and I have three tacos. "I'm so hungry." I say.

"It's okay." Taylor says. "It's cool when a girl can eat in front of a guy."

"Yeah. If I can't eat in front of a guy then there's no way I'm going to go out on dates with them." I explain.

"Well you can eat in front of me without being judged." He says. I smile and take a bite of my third taco. Things are going really well and I didn't realize that I like Taylor so much. I might even like him more than Jack G.

When we're finished dinner we go back to the hotel and Connor says that he wants everyone to meet in his room. We agree and we all go to his hotel room. It's filled with everyone. We all have absolutely no clue about what's going on.

Connor Pov

I gather everyone in my room and it's clear that they're all puzzled. "So what's up?" Ricky asks.

"Yeah, I'm very curious." Carter says.

"Well I trust you guys a lot and I want to tell you guys something that I've been holding back." I explain.

"Connor you can tell us anything." Matthew says.

"Yeah, we're all like family here." Nash adds.

"We'll love you no matter what." Aaron pipes up.

I nod. "Okay. Well, ever since I was younger I noticed something different about myself. I was scared of it and now I've realized that I need to get it off my chest. In January I felt so blocked up by it all and I knew it was there in my head but I spoke it out loud to myself in the mirror and I felt so much better. I cried tears of relief about it and I know you all support me with everything I do so I want to share this part of my life with you all. Please don't look at me differently, or speak to me differently or feel uncomfortable. I want to let you all know that I am gay." I share.

The room is very quiet and all eyes are on me. It's Trevor that breaks the silence. "Connor, that doesn't change anything."

I sigh in relief as a tear falls down my cheek. It's a good tear. "Thank you." I say.

"That doesn't change what we think of you or make us uncomfortable." Jack J assured me. I nodded.

"How about we all group hug?" Sam suggests. We all get up and I'm surrounded by people's arms and I'm wrapped in love. It makes me feel so good about myself to know I have their support. I'm gay and I'm proud.
