His life, enriched by the powers of Nigh-Omniscience and Nigh-Omnicompetence gained from Gojo's Domain Expansion, has reached unparalleled heights.

While walking, Luffy witnesses Nanami saving Yuji from a potentially fatal blow delivered by Mahito. Nanami chastises Yuji for disobeying orders and asks for a status update. Yuji explains his failure to save Junpei and his mother from curses, and Nanami, noticing Yuji's selflessness, inquires about his personal well-being. Despite being injured by Mahito, Yuji insists he's fine. Spotting Luffy, Yuji is surprised but reassured by the familiar presence.

Mahito, pleased to see Nanami again, engages in battle. Nanami, aware that Yuji can harm Mahito, formulates a strategy to use his cursed technique to immobilize Mahito while Yuji lands a killing blow. Luffy joins the duo, and Nanami declares their intent to exorcise Mahito.

Mahito, preparing for the fight, creates an eye on his left palm and shifts his arm into a blade. He plans to watch Yuji while focusing on killing Nanami. The battle is intense, with Nanami deflecting Mahito's attacks and Yuji attempting to land blows. Mahito transforms his body into various shapes to evade attacks but is eventually cornered by the combined efforts of Yuji and Nanami.

Mahito regurgitates several mutated children, ordering them to kill Yuji. Nanami tries to intercept, but Mahito pins him to a wall. Yuji, horrified by the children's cries for death, reluctantly fights them off. Mahito plans to have Yuji face a transfigured Nanami, but Nanami reassures Yuji that he is distinguishing expectations from reality.

Yuji smashes Mahito's enlarged arm, freeing Nanami. The duo continues to barrage Mahito, who feels death approaching. In desperation, Mahito uses his Domain Expansion: Self-Embodiment of Perfection, trapping Nanami and Luffy inside. Luffy, however, grins, knowing he gains new powers within Domain Expansions.

Inside Mahito's Domain, Luffy gains Absolute Restoration/Destruction & Resurrection/Immortality Manipulation. The fight continues, with Mahito expanding his body to escape Yuji's attacks. Yuji, believing Mahito is weak, strikes with Divergent Fist, but Mahito escapes into the sewers. Nanami smashes the sewer grate too late, calling Takuma Ino to intercept Mahito.

Yuji, recovering, asks Nanami about a lecture. Nanami acknowledges Yuji's heroism, despite Yuji's guilt over killing. Nanami advises Yuji not to die trying to prevent unnatural deaths, emphasizing Yuji's importance as a sorcerer. Luffy, disagreeing with Nanami's view on death, uses his new powers to fully revive and resurrect Yu Haibara, shocking Nanami. Before leaving, Luffy gives Yuji 5 million ¥, leaving Yuji hopeful for another encounter.
