-Grayson-

The last day of the school year had finally arrived. I honestly debated whether or not I should bother showing up, but Lexi and Miranda had something big planned for today. And you never want to miss out on Miranda and Lexi's big plans.

I threw on some jeans and a tank top, that way I could say I put at least some effort into my outfit. My hair was combed out but still looked a bit messy, I really need to re-dye it soon. You could see my silver roots growing back in, and the vibrant blue of my hair had faded into a pale sky blue. Maybe I'll go back to my natural color again, maybe I can convince Eli to dye his hair. That would be hilarious.

My mom was up making a lunch for my sister downstairs. I didn't even bother packing my backpack, we aren't doing anything in class.

"Last day," my mom said with a small laugh, "I can't believe you're about to be a Senior."

I chuckled a bit and sat down at the kitchen counter.

"You're growing up too fast," my mom said with a pained laugh, "you're already done with your Junior year, on top of that you have a boyfriend and everything. Before I know it I'll have to watch my second little cub leave the den."

My mom laughed and came around the counter to hug me. I held her tightly and laughed a bit, I wonder if it ever gets easier for parents to say goodbye?

"Next thing I know your sister will be out that door too," my mom chuckled, "if I'm lucky she'll take her time growing up."

I smiled and looked down the hallway towards my sister's room. I think I was about her age when my brother left for college, we haven't really seen him since. I guess that's what happens when you move to California, it's good I'm planning to go to a local university. "Well, Eli should be here soon," my mom said as she put my sister's lunch into the fridge, "I need to go answer some emails, tell him I said hi!"

My mom went upstairs to her room and I heard the door quietly shut behind her. Eli showed up a few minutes later, and he was dressed sexier than ever. Athletic pants, one of those tight athletic shirts, and a new pair of shoes. He looked like a giant, beefy, adorable god!

"Ready to go Squeaks?" he said with a laugh. I think he caught me checking him out.

I nodded and followed him out to his car as I sent my mom a quick text. The whole crew was waiting for us when we pulled up to school. Miranda and Lexi were wearing matching rompers, both were white with a purple flower print, and they wore matching converse. Miranda had curled her hair again and Lexi just pulled hers back into a pony tail. Levi was wearing cargo shorts and a cute T-shirt that I bought for him last year. His favorite band was Maroon 5, and he would never take the shirt off when I bought it for him. Jamie was just wearing his usual basketball shorts and tank top, Miranda and Lexi looked like they were the only ones who tried today.

"Only one day left before we put this whole year behind us!" Miranda giggled as she led the way into school.

"I'm just ready for all of it to be over!" Lexi said.

We made our way to the commons together and strutted past everyone. It was like a movie again, the slow motion feeling, the staring, the way we all looked. If this were a movie, this would be the part at the end where all of the characters are narrating about how they overcame some huge obstacle. I started to think back a few months, when we walked in with Eli for the first time. I don't think I would have ever imagined holding his hand down the hallways of Wellington High with everyone stopping their conversations to get a good look at us. And I don't think any of us would have imagined the blow up with Elliot. Things would be so different right now if all of that didn't happen. We wouldn't have become closer as friends than we already were, Jamie and Levi wouldn't have gotten together, and I wouldn't have met Eli. Well...I don't think Jamie and Levi are together. Not yet at least.
