The boy's lips landed on Lisa's cheek, and he immediately froze, his eyes widening in shock. He realized what he was about to do and quickly backed away, his face flushing with embarrassment."Priya, I...I'm really sorry," he stuttered, his voice laced with regret.
Lisa felt a surge of discomfort, her eyes dropping to the floor. She knew Hanbin had feelings for her, but she couldn't reciprocate them. Her heart still belonged to Jennie, the green-eyed girl who had captured her attention long ago.
Hanbin's apology hung in the air, his eyes pleading for forgiveness. Lisa nodded sympathetically, her voice softening.
"It's okay, Hanbin. It's me who should apologize. I know you have feelings for me, but...I can't return them."
The words hung heavy between them, the tension palpable. Hanbin's face fell, but he nodded in relief, seemingly understanding.
"I knew it, Priya. I just...I couldn't help myself. You're an amazing person, and I got caught up in the moment."
Lisa's heart went out to him, her pity evident in her tone.
"I appreciate your honesty, Hanbin. You're a great friend, and I value our friendship. Let's just forget this ever happened, okay?"
Hanbin's face brightened slightly, a small smile playing on his lips.
"Yeah, okay. Thanks, Bub. You're a true friend."
Jennie stood frozen, her ears still ringing from the conversation she had just overheard. She had been watching from the shadows, unseen and unnoticed, as Lisa and the boy stood intimately close.
A pang of jealousy struck her like a lightning bolt, leaving her breathless. Why did it bother her so much to see Lisa with someone else? She couldn't explain the feeling, but it made her heart race and her mind spin.
Jennie's thoughts were a jumbled mess. She didn't know what to make of her own emotions. All she knew was that she felt a strong connection to Lisa, a bond that went beyond friendship. But she had never explored those feelings, never dared to question what they meant.
As she watched Lisa and the boy part ways, Jennie's eyes remained fixed on her former best friend. She felt a strange sense of possessiveness, as if she had a claim on Lisa that she couldn't quite explain.
The truth was, Jennie was still oblivious to her own feelings towards Lisa. But one thing was certain - she couldn't bear the thought of anyone else getting close to her, especially not a boy who had almost kissed her on the lips.
Jennie couldn't stand the feeling of jealousy that had taken hold of her. It was like a burning fire that threatened to consume her from the inside out. She felt like she was losing control, like her emotions were betraying her in some way.
Without thinking, she turned and made a swift exit, desperate to escape the uncomfortable truth that had been revealed to her. She couldn't bear the thought of staying there a moment longer, not when her heart was racing and her mind was reeling.
As she walked away, Jennie felt like she was fleeing from her own emotions, from the realization that she had feelings for Lisa that went beyond friendship. She didn't know how to process them, or what they meant, and so she did the only thing she could think of - she ran.
The cool air hit her like a slap in the face as she emerged from the building, but it did little to calm her racing thoughts. Jennie felt like she was losing herself in this chaos of emotions, like she was drowning in a sea of uncertainty.
All she knew was that she needed to get away, to find some semblance of peace and quiet in which to gather her thoughts. And so she kept walking, her feet carrying her further and further away from the scene of her discomfort, her heart heavy with the weight of her unexplored emotions.
Little did Jennie know, her every move had been watched by a pair of piercing eyes. Kim Taehyung, Lisa's other friend and a possessive one at that, had been standing in the shadows, observing her with a keen interest.
Taehyung was like a brother to Lisa, always protective and vigilant, ready to defend her at any cost. And he knew Lisa's story, including the parts that involved Jennie.
As he watched Jennie's emotional turmoil, Taehyung's eyes narrowed. He knew exactly who this person was - the one who had broken Lisa's heart, the one she still had feelings for.As Taehyung continued to watch Jennie, a sly smirk spread across his face. He had noticed the fleeting expression of jealousy on her face, and it only piqued his interest further.
"Ah, so she's still got feelings for Lisa," he thought to himself, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "This is going to be interesting."
Taehyung's mind began to spin with possibilities. He knew Lisa's history with Jennie, and he had always been protective of his friend. But now, he sensed an opportunity to stir the pot, to see how far Jennie's feelings would take her.
With a calculating glint in his eye, Taehyung decided to follow Jennie, to see where her emotions would lead her. He was ready to play a game, one that could potentially uncover hidden truths and reignite old flames.
The smirk still plastered on his face, Taehyung trailed behind Jennie, his eyes fixed on her with an intensity that bordered on fascination. The game was afoot, and he was ready to play.
Taehyung's mind raced with ideas as he continued to follow Jennie from a distance. He knew he had to be careful, but he couldn't resist the opportunity to play matchmaker.
A sly grin spread across his face as he imagined the scene unfolding. He could almost see the tension, the awkwardness, and the eventual confession.
"It's going to be a masterpiece," he thought, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
