As they headed to the parking area, the group decided who would sit with whom. Rosé and Jisoo opted to go with Hanbin in his sleek black car, while Irene and Seulgi chose to ride with Hwasa in her sporty red hatchback. Lisa and Jennie, however, ended up in Taehyung's luxurious white sedan, much to Lisa's initial reluctance.
"Come on, Lisa, ride with me!" Taehyung exclaimed, dragging her towards his car. The sun glinted off the car's chrome wheels, and the leather seats creaked as Lisa hesitated.
"But I don't want to," Lisa protested, her eyes darting towards Hanbin's car. The sound of laughter and music drifted from the car, where Rosé and Jisoo were already belting out their favorite tunes.
Taehyung chuckled, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "No buts, I'm not gonna listen you this time," he said, opening the back seat door for her. The interior of the car was spotless, with a hint of vanilla air freshener wafting through the vents.
Lisa who was about to seat on the passenger seat, but Taehyung grab her by her waist and force her to sit on the back with Jennie. And Jennie who saw this how he grab her waist, she can't help but to feel jealous.
Lisa reluctantly slid into the backseat, her eyes fixed on Jennie, who was already seated beside her. The tension between them was palpable, the air thick with unspoken words. Jennie's hands were clenched into fists, her knuckles white with tension.
Taehyung hopped into the driver's seat, his eyes meeting Lisa's in the rearview mirror. "Buckle up, girls," he said, his voice cheerful. The engine purred to life, and the car glided smoothly out of the parking lot.
As they pulled onto the main road, the silence in the car was deafening. Taehyung, sensing the tension, decided to take matters into his own hands. "So, Jennie, how's life been treating you?" he asked, his voice light and casual. The GPS navigation system beeped, guiding them through the crowded streets.
Jennie's eyes flickered towards Lisa before returning to Taehyung. "It's been good," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.
Taehyung grinned, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "That's great to hear," he said. "Do have any girlfriend or boyfriend?, if not then this chick beside you. You can ask her out," he added, his eyes darting towards Lisa. The car's speakers thumped out a lively beat, but the tension in the car remained palpable.
Lisa's face flushed, her eyes fixed on Jennie's profile. Jennie didn't got to answer when Lisa beat her to it. "Taehyung, stop teasing," she protested, her voice laced with embarrassment. The car's air conditioning kicked in, blowing a cool breeze through the vents.
But Taehyung was relentless, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "Oh, come on, Lisa," he said, his voice playful. "I'm just nudging face in the right direction!" The car's tires hummed along the pavement, the only sound in the tense silence.
The tension in the car was palpable, the air thick with unspoken words. But as Taehyung continued to tease them, the silence began to dissipate, replaced by laughter and playful banter. The car ride was filled with the sound of their laughter, the tension between Lisa and Jennie slowly dissipating as they relaxed into each other's presence.
___The restaurant's sleek black doors slid open, revealing a dimly lit interior that pulsed with the rhythmic beat of music. The group was led to the VIP room, a plush oasis nestled in the heart of the bustling eatery. Soft golden lighting illuminated the space, casting a warm glow over the polished wood tables and plush leather seats.
As they settled in, the waiter, a charming young man with a quick smile, took their orders.
"Ma'am what would you like to order?" he ask in a flirtatious manner winking at her. Lisa felt like puking at his face.
Jennie noticed him flirting shamelessly with Lisa, his eyes lingering on her face as he asked for her order. She felt a surge of possessiveness, her heart beating faster as she intervened. "Hey, can you just take our orders and be professional?" she asked, her voice firm but polite.
The waiter's face flushed, and he apologized before beating a hasty retreat. The group erupted into laughter, teasing Jennie about her protective instincts. "Someone's got it bad," Taehyung joked, winking at Jennie.
Lisa blushed, her eyes meeting Jennie's in a sparkling glance. "Hey, I can handle myself," she protested.
As they waited for their food to arrive, the conversation flowed easily, their friends regaling them with stories of their own misadventures. Rosé and Jisoo giggled over a recent mishap involving a botched cooking experiment, while Irene and Seulgi shared a hilarious tale of their own, involving a misplaced phone and a series of ridiculous misunderstandings.
Through it all, Lisa and Jennie stole glances at each other, their eyes locking in a silent understanding.
As the night wore on, the laughter and jokes only grew more raucous, their friends teasing them mercilessly about their obvious chemistry. "Come on, you two, just admit it already!" Hwasa exclaimed, her eyes shining with amusement.
Lisa and Jennie exchanged a look, their faces flushing in unison. But they didn't need to say a word - the tension between them was clear to everyone in the room. As they left the restaurant, arms wrapped around each other's shoulders, it was clear that this was a night they would never forget.
