Chapter 7: A Tempting Discovery

Jennie wandered aimlessly across the campus, her mind preoccupied with the unexpected encounter between Kai, Sophia, and herself earlier. She couldn't shake off the feeling of disappointment that lingered inside her, like a nagging sense of unease.

As she walked, Jennie found herself thinking about Kai and Sophia, their image came in her mind. She expected to feel a pang of jealousy, a twinge of possessiveness, but there was nothing. Just a dull sense of disappointment, like she had been let down by Kai's behavior.

Jennie stopped in front of a large oak tree, its branches stretching towards the sky like nature's own work of art. She leaned against the trunk, her eyes gazing out at the passing students, her mind still stuck on Kai and Sophia.

Why didn't she feel jealous? Jennie wondered. She had every right to, didn't she? Kai was her teammate, her boyfriend....

With a sigh, Jennie pushed off from the tree and continued her aimless stroll across the campus. She needed to clear her head, to shake off the strange feeling that had settled inside her.

As Jennie continued her stroll across the campus, the sound of loud music grew louder, beckoning her towards its source. She turned a corner and saw a door at the end of the hallway, left slightly ajar. The music was coming from inside, the beat rhythmically through the air like a heartbeat.

Jennie's curiosity was piqued, and she felt an inexplicable pull towards the door. She walked towards it, her feet moving with a sense of purpose, as if drawn by an unseen force. The music grew louder with each step, the vibrations resonating through her body.

As she approached the door, Jennie could feel the energy emanating from within. It was a palpable thing, like a warm embrace waiting to envelop her. She reached out a hand, her fingers brushing against the doorframe, and hesitated for a moment, wondering what lay beyond the threshold.

Jennie's curiosity got the better of her, and she pushed the door open, just enough to peek inside. The music enveloped her, and she saw two figures dancing in the dimly lit room. The girl and the tall boy moved in perfect sync, their bodies swaying to the rhythm with an intensity.

Jennie's eyes were drawn to the girl, her tall frame and graceful movements captivating her attention. Though she couldn't see the girl's face, there was something about her that seemed to radiate an aura of mystery and allure. The way she moved with confident abandon, her body seeming to melt into the music, left Jennie mesmerized.

The tension between the two dancers was thick, their bodies inches apart, yet seemingly connected by an invisible thread. They danced together with a passion and intensity that was almost overwhelming, leaving Jennie feeling like an outsider, peeking into a private world.

Jennie's gaze remained fixed on the girl, her fascination growing with each passing moment. She couldn't quite define what it was about the girl that drew her in, but she felt an inexplicable connection, as if she was witnessing something intimate and special.

The music finally stopped, and the dancers froze, their bodies still entwined. The boy's hands remained on the girl's waist, and her arms stayed wrapped around his neck. They stood there, panting heavily, their eyes locked on each other.

The air was thick with tension as the boy slowly leaned in, his lips inches from the girl's. Jennie's heart raced, anticipating the kiss. But just as their lips were about to meet, the girl turned her head to the left, and the boy's kiss landed on her cheek instead.

Jennie's eyes widened in shock as the girl turned her face to the left, revealing her stunning features. Her black hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall, with bangs framing her face. Her doe-brown eyes sparkled, and her cute button nose twitched slightly as she avoided the kiss.

And then it hit Jennie - the girl was .......

"Lisa" Jennie muttered quietly.
