I stood in the bar and waited for Hannah to return. Once again she had seen some boy she like and had disappeared. I could see her talking to this guy who was like twice her age. I sat down looking around at everyone enjoying themselves. But then i spotted him. A young man sat across the room talking to his mates. He had brown messy hair and he was wearing a checked shirt and dark jeans. He must have been at least 20 even though you are meant to be 21 to get in. He stood up and turned his back to me. I looked up and down at him and then realised he began to turn towards me. I tried to look away but it was too late. He caught me looking at him and gave me a cheeky grin. I quickly looked away and then looked back at him. I became red, giggled slightly and smiled at him. He turned to his mates and said something and looked back at me and headed towards me. He sat on the chair next to and looked at the wall in front of us.
"So....what's your name then?" he said confidently.
"Becca." I looked at my feet.
"Hi Becca. I'm Nick." He put is hand out to shake mine.
I reached out nervously and shook it. He looked at me and smiled. For the rest of the night we sat and talked. Eventually Hannah came back and told me we had to go. I got up to leave but then Nick grabbed my wrist.
"Can I have your number?" I was shocked that he was after me not Hannah.
I got a bit of paper and wrote down my number and gave it to him.
"Cya later."
I thought the night had gone great but how was I suppose to know that in 24 hours my world would have turned upside down.
