Chapter 24:The talk

Jimin stop typing on his pc, looking towards the door.Taehyung and Jungkook still haven't arrived and it got Jimin anxious.Well it's not even passed the time yet, but still Jimin couldn't stop his overthinking mind.

Jimin realizes that what he said to the two yesterday was too harsh. He should not utter those word in the first place.Jimin knows that instead of spatting it towards Taehyung and Jungkook, he could asked them nicely.But still, he chooses harshness.

So currently, the ceo is not so patiently waiting for the two secretaries to arrive.He is afraid that the two might even quit their job because of his brutality. "No no, they wouldn't do that.Taehyung and Jungkook couldn't not be quitting this job just because I was harsh on them right?"

Jimin thought to himself but get interrupted as a knock was heard, "Come in" the door swungs open revealing the two figures Jimin had been dying to see since last night. "Good morning sir, we are sorry that we are a bit late.The bus was full this morning" Jungkook explains softly, looking at Jimin.

"No you guys are not late.I am just way too early today" Jimin states shortly and the two wishes that the cold tone of Jimin would leave him for a second. "Finish all of this, the deal is due tomorrow" Jimin demands as he slams five files onto Taehyung and Jungkook's table. "S-sure sir" Taehyung stutters while Jungkook gulps looking at the files.

Time Skip

Well fortunately, Taehyung and Jungkook were able to finish all of the files before it gets dawn.Looking at the clock, 6.45pm.Jungkook figures that it was past their working hours, but at least it wasn't so late right? Glancing at his side, Taehyung seems to be packing up as well.The two walks up towards their ceo.

Jimin never go back home on time, it's always latter.And the boy would come to office before the working hour starts too, such a hardworking man. "Um sir?" Jungkook calls out nervously as Taehyung stood beside him.Jimin looks up, "What?" The boy asks, seeing the two standing in front of him.

"We want to sumbit these files, it's all complete just like how you want it" Taehyung said softly, eyes locking with Jimin.Honestly saying, the boy missed staring at those eyes that once held so much love and fondness for them.Jimin stares back, seems like the ceo couldn't take his eyes off either.

"Put them here, then you both can go" Jimin said breaking the eye contact, "Actually sir, we have something to talk to you" Jungkook suddenly said as Taehyung nodded at him.Jimin frowns at this, "What would you want  to talk about?" The two secretaries sit on the chairs in front of Jimin's table.The said man eyes his secretaries move, confusion written all over his face.

"I guess we can start now?" Taehyung insists as Jimin just nodded. "Alright so.Si-no, hyung" Taehyung started, catching Jimin off guard by the name. "It's past work hours anyway so I can call you that" Taehyung stop, letting Jungkook continue. "First of all hyung, ever since we met again five months ago, we never even once apologize properly to you" Jungkook said.

"Hyung, what we did was dreadful, our past action was so brutal and merciless.We hurted you, kills your heart viciously.Played with your sincere feelings when all you do was loving us with purity" Taehyung said.

"We used you for our own good, for our own fun.We are so selfish and reckless.Never once we thought about how broken you might be upon knowing the truth" Jungkook continued.

"Hyung, the way you treated us, was beyond lovely.You take care of us, handles us delicately and showered us with infinite love.You're so calm towards us, I could even count how many times you are mad at us" Jungkook chuckles lowly.

"But, what we did? We never appreciate you, we didn't trust you.All while everything you did was only to make us happy.We let you suffer all the pain throughout the years alone" Taehyung continues, tears forming in his eyes.

"We did all of these thing without a single care about you, we hurted you remorselessly hyung" Jungkook said, eyes watering also. "I know, sorry will never be enough to cure your pain, and we couldn't undo our doings also" Taehyung said.

"But right now, we sincerely ask for your forgiveness hyung" Jungkook finished.As simple as that, the two are apologizing.As if the damage could be fixed, as if everything would be normal again.The pain is already done, the wound of it is now scratched deep inside Jimin's heart.

Jimin stares deeply at the two persons whom he used to cherish with all his heart.The ones he used to deluge with authentic adoration, the boys that he used to protect with all his might.It's true, what the two did was beyond wrong.But still, seeing them admits to their faults with tears streaming down their face.Looking ao vulnerable, so much that it makes Jimin wants to stop those bad tears from flowing.

"Hyungie, we did bad.We treated you so harsh" Taehyung said, "But how can you still care for us, hyungie?" Jungkook states, "that night, how can you still have the guts to protect us?" The question dropped, even though the two promises not to mention about that night again.

"Can you give us another chance hyungie? To build a new beginning with you, to let go of the past" Taehyung asks lowly, eyes hopefull as he stares at Jimin.

The way Taehyung and Jungkook calls Jimin 'hyungie' makes the boy's heart swell in fondness.He missed being call that, he missed them calling him that.

"It's not as easy as you think it is.It's not easy to forgive you both and just forget everything.I couldn't pretend that nothing had happen" Jimin finally speaks up, "I, I tried to stop myself from thinking about this and just move on with life, but I couldn't.It's hard to erase the memory" Jimin continues.

"Whatever it is, I still couldn't forgive you both.I-I don't think I can ever.So please, I wish that you both won't brings up this topic again.We are done with this" Jimin states.

The two just nodded brokenly, "W-we get it h-hyungie, thanks for your time.We promise to not bother you with such topics again" Jungkook slowly said, glazing at Jimin with tears filled eyes.The two move to rush out the cabin.

"And please don't hope for another us, I gave up on that long time ago.There is no more us"

Taehyung and Jungkook swears they hears their hearts crashing into pieces.
