Kim Sunoo, the son of wealthy parents, narrowly escaped a kidnapping attempt while attending a party. As soon as his parents learned about the incident, they took immediate action and decided to hire a professional bodyguard to ensure their son's safety.
Park Sunghoon, a highly skilled and experienced bodyguard, was specifically recruited and entrusted with the responsibility of protecting and ensuring the safety of the younger individual.
One night, Sunoo snuck out to go to another party. In the radiant lights of the city, Sunghoon followed him. Once he saw him, his fingers tightly gripped Sunoo's wrists, not hesitating to let go.
Frustration was showcased in the elder's voice, as the younger kept laughing and teasing. "Sunoo, seriously! Stop sneaking off to parties! Your parents hired me for a reason."
Sunoo giggled, "Aww... Why not? You're being such a buzzkill." He rolled his eyes, underestimating the seriousness of the situation. His gaze immediately turned back to the party behind him.
Sunghoon groaned, obviously not enjoying his teasing. He pulled Sunoo back so he could look at him. "You wouldn't want your parents to take away your phone, would you now?" Sunghoon asked teasingly back at him.
The younger's eyes widened. Sunoo didn't like his phone or credit card away from him. How could he survive without those?
Sunoo sighed in defeat, opening the car door. "Fine. But don't tell my parents about this." Sunoo said sadly as he entered the back seat. "Partypooper."
He grinned, of course, his plan worked. He opened the driver's seat and looked at him through the rearview mirror. He chuckled. "Adorable."
The elder drove away from the flashing lights and blasting music while keeping an eye on Sunoo. "I don't understand how you like parties. They're so boring, all you do is drink and talk with people."
He rolled his eyes at that statement. "Parties are super fun, you just don't know it." He scoffed. "You wouldn't know because you're an emotionless bodyguard."
"Oh, really? Tell me how fun it is then."
"Well, you can drink, talk with people, dance, gamble, eat, other stuff. However, the best part? Getting drunk." He smirked while looking at me through the rearview mirror.
"You like getting drunk?" He raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah," Sunoo said happily. "You just let everything loose and forget about the negative things in life."
"I see. But you know there are better ways to relieve stress, right? Drinking alcohol isn't a good way to solve it." He informingly says.
Sunoo scoffs. "Yes, I know. But I think drinking my way out of it is the best." He looks in his hand mirror to adjust his makeup.
"Oh. Alright then. Whatever floats your boat." Sunghoon said while driving through the city lights.
The remainder of the journey was filled with an uncomfortable silence. The only audible sounds were the rhythmic breathing of the two individuals and the distant hum of the bustling city.
"Hey." The younger one spoke up, lifting his head to look at Sunghoon. "You know, you're a lot more fun than my other bodyguards." He chuckled while Sunghoon just hummed.
"But I'm your only bodyguard."
"I've had other ones, too. You know? You're not the only one, so stop acting so special."
"I'm sorry."
Sunoo chuckled again. "It's fine. It's just that... You have personality, my other bodyguards were just emotionless drones." He leaned back in his seat and grinned. "And I do like a bit of competition, Mr. Bodyguard. Makes things interesting"
"Ha, funny."
Sunghoon focused on driving while Sunoo was teasing him. He observed the elder's driving under all that teasing.
"You know..." He paused before leaning forward in his seat. "Playing hard-to-get is kind of a turn-on. I'm interested in seeing how long it'll take for you to soften up."
Sunghoon grinned and then scoffed. "It'll take a while. I don't think I'll soften up for a brat like you."
A challenge glinted in his eyes as he heard his words, his grin turning into a full smile.
"Well, I love a good chase. Consider this a challenge accepted."
As the weeks went by, Sunoo found himself growing even more fixated on Sunghoon. He was different from the other bodyguards, and he couldn't help but be drawn to that. He continued to push his buttons, constantly testing his limits, all while secretly relishing the challenge.
After checking if everyone was asleep, Sunoo snuck out to go to another party. Sunoo was out having a great time, but Sunghoon found out about this and observed him from afar.
As Sunoo mingled at the party, blissfully unaware of his watchful gaze, he continued engaging with his friends and other party-goers. He sipped on a champagne flute, laughing at a joke, as his eyes scanned the room for any familiar faces. However, his attention strayed to the buffet corner, where he stood.
"Arrogant bitch, when will you ever learn to listen?" Sunghoon mumbled, sipping on a drink of water. He carefully eyes the younger, watching out for any danger.
Sunghoon's eyes widened when he heard a "Hey! Get off me!" coming from Sunoo's direction. He quickly set the cup on the table (causing it to fall and spill) and walked towards the younger. Once he was close enough, he yelled, "Get your hands off of him!"
The man looked at him and scoffed. "What are you? His bodyguard?" His grip around Sunoo's wrist tightens, causing him to wince.
"Exactly." Sunghoon crosses his arms and walks closer, "I suggest you get your hands off him, or things will get ugly."
"Oh? Really now?" The threat mocks, mimicking him.
The older has had enough of his bickering. He swiftly punches his nose, making the man stumble back and hit his head on the table. A small crowd starts to form as Sunghoon kicks his stomach.
Sunoo's expression went from scared to shocked. "Sunghoon! That's enough!" He shouts, trying to pull him away from the injured man. "Are you okay? Did you get hurt?"
"I'm fine. You okay?" He questioned, checking his wrists for any bruises.
"Yeah, I'm alright. Let's just go home."
Sunghoon nods, taking Sunoo's hand and walking towards the front door. The silence was slightly comfortable even after what happened.
"So, how was the party?"
