Third Person's POV

A cold breeze streams through the night as Matthias plays with her guitar.

Ngunit sa huli, palagi
Babalik parin sa yakap mo
Hanggang sa huli, palagi
Pipiliin kong maging sayo ~~

The song brought comfort for Matt. It suddenly stopped when someone knocked on her door.

*TOK TOK*

"Who the fuck do you think you are to disturb me at this time?" she angrily answered.

"MATTHIAS JACOB LIM! OPEN THIS DOOR, RIGHT NOW!" a loud voice echoed through the hall.

Matt did not answer and stood up lazily. She opened the door to see her angry father glaring at her.

"Why aren't you dressed? You know your grandfather is announcing today, right?" her father angrily entered her room.

"I don't want your money. I just want to play with our band, Dad." she pleaded.

"I told you a million times that is not gonna happen. Magbihis ka na or I will destroy every memory you have of music, Matt." her dad said in a firm voice and she knows he was not joking.

She hurriedly picked out an outfit and changed into a formal black dress. After she finished, they went out of the room and headed straight to the leaving room where she saw everyone was gathered.

"As the only daughter of the eldest child, you are expected to inheret the company. I know its not one of the things you wished but please do this for your Mom." his dad whispered and that brought an ache filled with rage in her heart. As she was about to answer her father, someone tapped her shoulder.

"Matthias, glad to see you attending today." a sarcastic tone did not escape from Matt's ears.

"Atleast sound sincere when your trying to lie, Gian. Natatakot ka lang sakit mapunta lahat ng pera ni lolo dahil di mo naman alam magbilang diba?" she clapped back which made Gian drop his smile.

He was about to say something when they heard someone announcing that their grandfather had arrived.

Everyone was silent, and the tension started to fill up the air.

"Everyone's really tensed about enheriting the company, right?" a voice whispered into Matt's ears.

"Everyone but me, Cole. You know that." Matt looked back and smiled at her.

"Hindi kasi nila alam sayo lahat to mapupunta, coz."

"I know we're cousins. Stop using that weird callsign."

"Okay, coz." Cole playfully teased.

As they were talking, another guard shouted.

"Everyone is required to gather at the living room for an important anouncement."

In that time, everyone was on their edge. Everyone did not know what was gonna happen, but as the only daughter of the eldest son of the Lim family, everybody felt uneasy around her.

When they entered the living room, her grandfather was sitted in the middle of the room.

"Have a seat, everyone. Everybody's waiting for this their entire life." his grandfather announced.

Everybody took a seat and was interested in the following move that the man made.

"As you may have known, I was arranged to marry your mother when we were still young." a hint of sadness was evident through his face while talking.
