Rains little secret

Part 24-Good luck

Payus pov-
I was sitting with my uncle talking about whatever pieces of my life he wanted to know when I heard soft footsteps followed by a soft "Phi" I turned around to see Rain still half asleep heading in my direction. I open my arms knowing the first thing he will do and as I was right as always he comes over and sits in my lap cuddling into my chest. Rains not really a morning person so it takes him a while to wake up. I hear a laugh come from my uncle as Rain settles into my lap. "What" I don't know what's funny so I can't help but be intrigued. "Nothing I'm just remembering the long winded speeches about how you weren't soft and didn't need a lover like me, Kinn or your father." He responds the tone in his voice telling me I'm never living any of that down I sigh and respond "alright I was wrong" I admit it. I was. I was more wrong about not needing this boy than I had been about anything else and I learned that with stop when I had tried to distance myself from him. I heard the door open and Rain shifted a bit in my lap still trying to wake up. My uncle stood a but more excited than before so I could only assume that was Uncle Chay at the door. I heard a hushed conversation I couldn't make out so I shifted my attention to Rain he was a bit more awake now but still hadn't moved from his place on my lap. My uncles walked in and uncle Chay had a shocked look on his face but it was obvious he had been warned as it was only a bit noticable. He looked at Rain then at me then his eyes drifted ti The necklace Rain wore and that's when the shock really set In He looked at uncle Kim and sorta hissed in a whisper "You didn't tell me that he gave the boy his rose!" Uncle Kim laughed a bit sheepishly "whoops" was all he said "so it's serious then Payu when Kim taught me what those roses meant he said it can only be given once and can't be taken back" uncle Chay turned back to me as he spoke and I nodded he looked at rain who now had his face burried in my chest "does he know it's meaning?" I nodded again "he's learning things didn't exactly go according to plan"uncle Chay looked confused as I  said it and uncle Kim spoke up "we will talk about that later Chay for now they will be staying with us" and uncle Chay nodded I knew I was welcome here but I couldn't help the relief washing over me when he had no hesitation about accepting Rain here as well. Part of me knew uncle Chay wouldn't deny Rain in fact he would probably see a bit of himself in Rain but I was still worried if he didn't accept Rain then there was a chance I could have lost Uncle Kim's help and had no safe place for me and Rain "thank you both" I said I'm sure they knew there were many meanings behind it and they nodded in an acknowledgement of the statement. I was thanking them for being here, for taking us in, for helping Rain, for trusting me, and for many other things and I'm sure that they knew that.
