Dukes POV

This is the first time I've seen the violence first hand that surrounds the castle or its inhabitants. I'm not sure if this would be a safe place for Enchantress and her children.  I have no idea why Queen Quinteessa or Queen Yara were thinking sending their youngest child to this village more less this castle but I suppose they have their reason. I'll have to ask them later but now I need to have a few words with Mother Miranda and the Dimitrescu daughters.

"Wait ... Just let them go."

"Duke I respect you for all your work in my village but you have no right to tell me what to do..."

"Mother Miranda we know your threats are idol to me. But I was trying to get you to divert your questions about Enchantress my way for now."

"What is up with you and Mother defending her we don't know her and she doesn't know us but she just barges in here like she owns the place turning our mother against us."

"Miss Bela Enchantress has done none of what either of you have claimed..." I put my hand up to stop either of them from speaking including Miranda. "You might not know her but she is both of my friend's daughter and they are people you don't want to cross and the quickest way to do just that is to harm their family. Now if you have any questions I can try my best to answer."

"Okay let's go back to the conference room, Duke you have some explaining to do."

*5 minutes later*

"So Duke explain to us why we should let her stay in our home" states Cassandra

"Well Miss Cassandra that isn't up to you three. Since they are mates you should know your mother isn't going to let her leave this castle anytime soon. So can we stay on topic here please."

"Fine, but shouldn't we wait for them to come back down."

"Yes I think it'll be best if she is present to tell us everything in detail." They nod sending a maid to relay the message to Lady Dimitrescu

*46 minutes later*

Third Person POV

"Sorry for the long wait I have organized an early lunch for us" Lady Dimitrescu says while entering the room carrying a more relaxed Enchantress.

"Before we start I would like to apologize to your mate Alcina. I shouldn't have said what I said or hit her it was not right of me. I thought about what you said and I'll work on it but truly I'm sorry Enchantress."

"Same Mother my sisters and I apologize for our actions and we realized that we were wrong."

"Sorry Enchantress"

"Yeah sorry Enchantress"

"Good that you all see the error of your ways. I hope in the future we can actually sit down together and converse like adults. But it's not up to me to accept your apologies..."

"I accept but I will not forget what you all have done to me today. I understand that you did not know me but for you all to verbally and physically attack me was outrageous. I will also apologize for the words I said towards you."

"I hate to kill this moment but now that all of the apologies are out of the way can we start for real this time."

"Of course Duke. Now I am aware that you all want to ask questions about me so I'll answer them."

"Okay I'll go first what are you exactly." asked Daniela

"I am a tribrid I'm part werewolf, vampire, and succubus. Odd I know both of my parents are succubus but one is a mix with vampire and the other is a mix of werewolf. Out of all of my siblings I am the only one that happened to be a perfect mix."

"Siblings? How many siblings do you have?" now it's Bela

"I have 7 siblings in total. There names are Zephyra, Farlen, Calista, Jorvik, Vespera, Isode, and Eulalia. The last three are triplets I am the youngest."

"What of your parents? And why aren't they here with you." Cassandra stated

"I was wondering when we were getting to that. I guess I have to reintroduce myself properly, I am Enchantress Monroe but formerly known as Countess Enchantress Monroe. My parents are Queens Quintessa and Yara Monroe. We are members of the royal family in the shifter realm/world. My family aren't here because they are fighting a war in my honor."

"So you live in a castle too just like us..."

"Dani really that's all you heard..."

"No it's fine Cassandra actually two castles. Both of my parents were countess' of their own respective castles until they met at a ball and turns out they were mates so they kind of combined them together by contract to be past down to their heir which happens to me."

"But draga the heir is usually the first born. Bela is my heir because she is older"

"It's different in the shifter realm. You see we can pick who is the best fit for the role and my parents chose me. Zephyra is the eldest but for reasons unknown to me I was chosen."

"So there are more like you?"

"With all disrespect Miranda but I know what it is that you did or probably still do here. My people aren't experiments."

"I meant no ill will towards you I only ask out of curiosity. And you are wrong I no longer run experiments on anyone."

She looks almost remorseful or ashamed of herself. I suppose I might have over reacted a little bit. "I understand and respect that you no longer do those horrible things to others. But to answer your question yes there are more of my kind."

"Now Draga I suppose I have to ask the most important question. You said that your family isn't here and are fighting for your honor. I suppose my question is why, what happened."

I guess I shouldn't be surprised Alcina asked that question. But I wonder should I tell them everything or just the basic things. I'm just worried that she would reject me and even hate me.  'Mate loves us nothing you say will change that.'

Taking a deep breath I began telling them everything from the beginning. To say they were shocked and by the little twitches on their faces I could tell they were angry but trying to hide it. Well everyone else but I could feel Alcina's anger making me let out a small whimper due to the intensity of her anger that I feel. She pulls me onto her lap mumbling apologies into my neck making me go beet red while her daughters snicker.

When I finally finished no one speaks for a while making me a bit nervous. I wonder if I should have held back from telling them everything, but I know that they would have found out eventually but I didn't think my life story would leave them all looking pale, confused, and a bit angry.

"Well that was a lot Enchantress. But there seems to be some more important details missing from your story. Like why did they choose you to rule over the realm, why the Enriquez family lied about you being Malin's mate, who was that woman they were plotting with, and now that I think about why did your parents send you to look for Alcina."

"I'm not sure why. Duke did they say anything in the telegram."

"No, only what I shared with you yesterday. Although I don't know why but whatever the reason was it must be important.
Enchantress you know your parents better than us do you not even have a clue."

"Not at the moment. But I'm not really myself at the moment, today has been pretty hectic and stressful for me so I'm not even sure I could answer that even if I wanted to."

"Are you tired draga? Would you like to sleep?"

"Actually yes if that's okay."

As Alcina stands with Enchantress preparing to leave she bids Miranda a good rest of her day and dismisses her daughters. Just before she ducks through the door she offers Duke a room for the night before leaving. Looking down at her sleeping mate she promises to herself that she never has to endure any further abuse from anyone.
