Alcina's POV

'Can you shut up you over size baby. You're going to give me a headache.' This needs to stop. I have been having this goddess forsaken headache for almost two years now and it's getting ridiculously worse. Although I didn't approve of Bela calling Mother Miranda but if she thinks she can help me then I will forgive the intrusion.

'I can't I feel weird. I know you feel it too and it's bothering me more than usual.'

'What do you mean. Yes of course I feel weird but that's been the norm for a while.'

'No you ass our senses have been all over the place since yesterday. But the pain it's fading.'

'Mmm do you have a idea of why. Is it danger.'

'No not that I can tell, but whatever it is it's something we need. I can feel it.'

'Okay. Let's just wait for Mother Miranda.'

*One hour later*

"Alcina why haven't you called me about this issue until now." I didn't call her Bela did we will be having a talk later. "Well Mother I didn't find it necessary to inform you of my condition..."

"Now Alcina I assure you I wouldn't have mind." Sighing she continues "I know I haven't been the best to you and the others but I'm trying. I know we have a long way to go to get to a mother daughter relationship but I would like to try."

She can't be serious right? 'I think she is serious and sincere, I can't pick up any signs of deception.' 'Of course, you'd believe her even after everything she put us through.' 'Al just here me out she got us into this mess in the first place so it isn't a matter of believing her she's the only person that can help.' 'Fine but if she so much as sticks a feather out of line I'll slice her to ribbons.'

"Mother Miranda I am willing to accept your help as long as you respect my wishes and boundaries. That means I can decide whether I want any procedures performed and can back out at any time." "Of course, Alcina as I said I wish to start new with all of you including your daughters. Now to the problem at hand, from what Bela has told me it seems that you might be suffering from a mate bond that's not yet completely realized." "I'm not sure how it would be for your kind but from the researching I did the pain you're feeling could mean many of things." She says pulling out files from her bag spreading them out mumbling some uncoherent stuff before facing me.

"You see Alcina you are the first and only one of your kind since I created you..." I scoff. "As I was saying since your kind is unknown of and not documented in any medical files other than mine I had to look at the species separately for more details." "So, what exactly did you find." Gesturing to the table of documents.

"Okay so since you are half dragon and half vampire you will likely have the same mating instincts of both. And like I said earlier you are the only of your kind you'd be the alpha and possess the physical attributes as well." She states looking down at my member as I blush looking away slightly embarrassed.

"About the pain. It's seems to dull since last night but not fully gone yet. So you think it has to do with my mate but isn't that supposed to be a good thing so why does it hurt."

"I think your mate is just about to become of age which is why you might find a pull but the pain is something different. You might want to take a seat for the next part."

'This isn't good at all what if something happened to mate.' 'Shut it you fool you don't know that.'

"Okay so..."

"From my findings the pain you have experienced are betrayal pains or pain being inflicted on your mate. But since I believe they aren't of age yet it could only mean someone was hurting or assaulting them. I think...."

Before she could finish a deep animalistic rumbling started in my chest. The thought of my mate getting hurt was not sitting right with me or my dragon at all. Were they alone scared or starved I needed to find them. Without a single word I was up on my feet heading for the door before pausing at her words.

"Alcina wait..."

"Wait ..." I said through gritted teeth my voice distorted signs of a beginning shift. "My mate is hurt they need me!"

"No just listen to me. You said the pain dulled last night right?"

"Yes but how is that more important than finding my mate right now."

"It means it's a great chance they're here or have found you. Do you still feel that same pull or tether as you did before?"

I stop to see if it's still there and try to pull at it. "Yes it's still there but it seems more stable than before." My dragon is up in my mind practically dancing around at that.

'Our mate has found us we need to get them I wonder what they look like.'

"You see Alcina all we have to do is wait and if..." She doesn't get a chance to finish before the girls come flying into the room landing in a heap of limbs.

"Girls haven't I taught you better than to enter a room without knocking."

"Sorry Mother but you have to come to the foyer someone wants to see you." Daniela says

"Fine did they say what they were here for. If they need a job you girls could have taken care of it yourselves and not interrupt my meeting."

"No mother this woman could not work even if she tried. She said it was urgent that she speaks with you." Cassandra finishes right as I open the door to the foyer. I straighten up to see a young pregnant brunette she smells like coconuts and pineapple. It seems like time itself froze before we both almost said at the same time.....
