"Oh crap!" I yelled when I looked at the clock and realized I was running 10 minutes late.

I rushed to finish getting ready for work and mentally prepared myself for the run to the train station. I just hoped I wouldn't miss it.

"I cannot afford to be late again." I grumbled to myself as I fiddled with my keys to lock the door before breaking into a sprint down the street. About halfway to the train station, I glanced at my watch and noticed that I should arrive right on time, assuming that the train wouldn't be running early or late. Although I wouldn't mind it being a few minutes behind schedule, at least I could blame it on the train and not my bad time management.

I rushed down the stairs and quickly scanned my card to get in the gate. I heard the train coming to a halt at the level below me, urging me to run faster down the remaining stairs. As soon as my foot hit the last stair, I heard the taunting beep that signals the doors of the train beginning to close.

"Wait! Please hold the door!" I yelled hoping some kind person would hear my pleads and stop the doors from closing.

As I ran to the nearest door, I saw a hand shoot out, causing the doors to quickly open allowing me to step in before closing again. I abruptly stopped as soon as I entered the doors, trying to catch my breath from all the running I had just done. Once I felt the air return to my body, I stood back up straight to thank the person who saved me from being late. As I opened my mouth to say thank you, I stopped once I had made eye contact with the handsome man standing in front of me. Suddenly I couldn't find the words to say.

"Are you okay?" He broke the silence, giving me a concerning look.

"Yes. Thank you for holding the door by the way." I mustered up a smile.

"Of course. You seem like you just ran a marathon, come sit next to me." He motioned to the bench behind us. I blushed in embarrassment, feeling like I look and sound like a mess right now. Either way, I was glad to take a seat and took my place next to him.

"Is there a reason you were running? Besides almost missing the train of course."

"I was running late for work and missing the train would've just made me even later, which I can't really afford right now." I explained to him.

"Well then I'm glad I could help." He flashed a smile at me, showing his dimples in the process. I felt my cheeks heat up a bit, his smile was just so cute. "Oh! I'm Seungcheol by the way." He reached his hand out for a handshake.

"I'm Y/N." I smiled back and took his hand.

"Nice to meet you, Y/N." He smiled once again. "So where do you work? If you don't mind me asking. I've never seen you on the train before, and I'm sure I would've remembered your beauty if I had seen you." I blushed at his words, having to look away to hide the tint on my cheeks.

"Uhm well I work at a business office. And yes I usually catch the earlier train so I have time to walk and get breakfast, but today was just not a good morning."

"Approaching Seoul station"

"Well this is my stop." I stood up getting ready to step off as soon as the doors open. "Oh! Is there any way I can repay you? Maybe I could treat you to dinner sometime?" I rushed out, not even thinking about how it sounded like I was asking him on a date. I mentally facepalmed, hoping he didn't think I was weird or anything.

"Uh-" Seungcheol was cut off by the loud screeching of the train wheels coming to a halt.

"Sorry I have to run! Here's my phone number. Thank you again!" I hurriedly handed him one of my business cards and ran off the train, still fighting against time.

Lucky for me, I made it to work on time and my day had been going good so far. I was just about to pack up my things to head home when I heard my phone going off.

Hey Y/N, it's Seungcheol, the guy from the train this morning. I've been thinking about your offer, well more I haven't been able to stop thinking about you. So I would love to take you up on your offer for dinner if you're still up for it? :)

"OH MY GOD." I quickly covered my mouth, catching a few glances from my co-workers who were still wandering around.

Y/N
Hi! Yes of course the offer is still there. You did help me out a lot after all.

Seungcheol
Well... I was thinking we could make this more of a date rather than repayment? Only if you're okay with that of course.

Y/N
Oh! That sounds lovely :)

Seungcheol
Great! I'll see you tonight at 7?

Y/N
