Mallory grew up in Minnesota with her family. She mainly lived with her sister who she brought up herself since a very young age because her parents were hunters and were always absent. Except for them Mallory had a Dhampir guardian who was also her boyfriend (Marshall). After some time Marshall turned Strigoi and when she turned 18 years old some vampires controlled by him killed her parents and a while later he killed her sister. After a while of running away she found a team of young hunters that helped her but after a very short time they died and she was left alone again. Then she run away and has been living alone ever since with Marshall constantly chasing her and torturing her.
