The tears of a mother

The gods were gathered in the garden, indulging in their favorite pastimes while keeping a watchful eye on Seth. Nephthys was practicing her magic, creating beautiful illusions that flickered around the garden. Isis was tending to her garden, her hands moving deftly through the foliage. Meanwhile, Ra and Anubis sat on a nearby bench, engrossed in a conversation.

Suddenly, a chill ran down Ra's spine, making her shiver. "Why do I feel a sense of impending doom all of a sudden?" She asked, not expecting an answer, eyeing her surroundings suspiciously.

"Did you say something grandmother?" Anubis inquired when he heard Ra mumble to herself.

He had just turned his attention towards the squealing Seth who was being 'thrown' in the air by Horus. The sight of a Seth, with his cheeks as red as his hair and his eyes wide, making him coo unconsciously.

He fell from that cloud of happiness and love head first once he saw Ra, whose eyes were shining a brilliant gold while subtly looking around.

"What is it?" He questioned immediately. Anubis's power flared up, almost instinctively, causing a dark, shadowy dagger to materialise in his outstretched hand. The handle felt cool and familiar in his grip, as if it was an extension of his own being. However, the sudden appearance of the weapon caught even Anubis off guard, and he glanced down at it with a mixture of surprise and unease.

Ra was silent for a moment. Not reacting, even when Anubis powers suddenly moved by themselves.

Finally, she looked at him. Anubis could feel his gut twist at the hard and unreadable look on Ra's face. "...something strange is happening."

With those words she got up and announced in her usual cheerful and silly way that she would go get some wine from her realm and come back.

But Anubis could see by the way she moved, as if she was going to battle ,by the way her eyes glowed with fury and most importantly, by the way she kissed Seth's forehead.....there was nothing good lurking around.

He clenched his dagger while looking at a babbling Seth with concern.

The baby had a cute frown on his face and kept babbling. He would even let out a yell once in a while when someone would copy his 'words' , puffing up his cheeks which created an adorable pout on his small lips.

Anubis' heart clenched at the thought of something ruining the peaceful life Seth has just begun to experience in the last couple of days.

The worst part ,nobody seemed to notice anything amiss. Ra left alone too without explaining or warning anyone. Though it's a blessing that she even noticed anything.

Or maybe it's actually a curse.

Ra sat in her sun boat, racing through the vast emptiness of space. Her thoughts were filled with a constant sense of unease, an inexplicable feeling that something dark and sinister was lurking just beyond her sight. Each time she tried to pinpoint the source of the feeling, it eluded her, like a shadow constantly moving out of reach.

As she pushed the sun boat harder, a twisted, mocking laughter echoed through the void of space. The unknown entity seemed to relish in Ra's growing frustration, taking pleasure in her attempts to unveil its presence.

Ra's eyes widened in realization as she finally managed to catch a glimpse of the energy signature of the unknown entity. Ignoring any doubts, she quickly gave chase, determined to unmask the source of her anxiety.
