It's been a while since Cale took down that monster and named the black dragon. They had been on the road for a few weeks now, and other than the occasional bear or wolf, it was peaceful. All things considered, Cale was satisfied, but it came to an end when they reached puzzle city

Cale had asked Raon to change his hair and eye color, as Raon had learned to do that from a book they stole from a bandit camp, ofcourse, that wasn't all they took, but thanks to it, a few sets of stolen clothes from the very same bandits, and Raon taking the liberty to change even his skin tone, Cale could easily hide his identity

Cale found it important to hide his identity since the city they were in was still close to the place they were trapped in not long ago, and Cale had no doubt that Venion's minions would still be searching for the both of them

The first problem to arise was, ironically, identification. Since Cale had no identification on him and wasn't intending to use his true identity, the guards couldn't let him in. This wasn't a problem for Raon as he was invisible

Of course, this problem was solved rather easily, as Raon simply carried him over the walls while invisible

The second problem, was getting an inn, since Cale still had no identification, he wouldn't be able to get a room in most inns, ofcourse this problem is easy to fix as well, or, well, for Cale, at least

Ting!

The bell signaling entrance to the building rang as Cale pushed the door open. Cale got quite a few stares as he approached the owner. This is, of course, to be expected, with his hair changed to black, eye changed to blue, dark skin, and the numerous injuries on him, he didn't exactly look like a local. In fact, he would probably be mistaken as a refuge from the Whipper Kingdom

He walked up to the woman who seemed to be in charge, considering she was ordering around the staff, and so, with a soft and vulnerable voice, he spoke

"Uhh- uhhm, m-miss, are y-you the ow-owner?"

Cale was slightly crouched over as he walked. He had a fearful expression on his face, as if he expected the adults around him to hurt him. Overall, it created the image he wanted, a scared kid who was hurt and is looking for shelter

"Sure I am, what's yer name, kid?"

The woman that asked was tall, lanky, and boyish for lack of a better word. She had spoken in a carefully soft and blank yet carefully cheerful tone

"I-i'm Nova! miss... uhh"

Of course, it was Raon who chose his name, just like it was Raon who chose the rest of his disguise

"The names Artim, Nova"

The woman had introduced herself with a gentle smile on her face

Long story short, Cale got a room for three days at a discount under the name Nova. He hadn't planned to get a discount at first, but who was he to deny such a nice old lady?

The room he was staying in wasn't too bad, all things considered. It's definitely better than sleeping on the streets or out in the woods. He noted that the bed was especially soft and that Raon seemed to like it quite a bit, seeing as Raon had been jumping and rolling around on it since they got the room

"Human! What is this thing? What's its purpose? It's very soft!"

"It's a bed. People sleep on it."

Cale answered a bit dryly but still humored Raon. He had been asking questions like this since they reached the city
