'Finally! I can relax!', he thought, letting out a content sigh, really, this was living!

Kim Rok Soo had been wanting to read the novel his... friend lent to him for a while now, and he finally got the chance after being given a break as a reward for completing his latest mission!

Kim Rok Soo had managed to speed through five novels in merely one afternoon, and was excited to start on the next novel however he was getting drowsy, perhaps it was his emotions catching up to him, or maybe he was just tired? It doesn't matter, as he fell asleep right there at his desk...

That's definitely not a voice he recognized... and is it just his imagination, or did he get smaller..?

'What happened...?', he could barely think straight with the splitting headache he was suffering from

"Uugghh, see! I told you it was too strong!"

'A.. kid?', That would explain the much smaller body...

"Whatever... let's just deliver the goods. They can deal with this"

Kim Rok Soo didn't have time to ponder his situation as he blacked out far too soon

He flinched, right. How could he forget? He was currently sharing a cell with the black dragon, a being that was subjected to torture daily. The torturers job being to get the young black dragon to submit to a noble called Venion Sten... a useless endeavor, as in the end, the young black dragon would sacrifice its own life in exchange for a freedom, granted by the main character, Choi Han, in the form of its death, and If the novel's description held any accuracy, the dragon would barely be a year old right now

Cale closed his eyes and tried his best to ignore the smell of blood. He couldn't stand seeing the black dragon hurt. The dragon reminded him of himself when he was a kid

Cale knew it would soon be his turn with the torturer, and Venion seemed more antsy than usual, which means he might decide the usual whipping isn't enough

"Hmmm, I think it's time to move on to my new toy, no?"

The torturer grunted but moved to drag Cale towards the front and put on a show for Venion regardless
