chapter 11 Iggy

"Sophie?" Elwin asked. "Didn't expect to see you here anytime soon." "Yeah, I have a tiny burn I need you to treat-no big deal."

"Well, let me check it out." As he got up, Bullhorn raced across the floor. "What brings you here today, Keefe?" Elwin asked.

"Just helping a fellow prodigy, sir." Elwin grinned "I notice you've had to miss your session's to do it." "I know, such a shame." He sighed dramatically. "But Sophie needed help, so what could I do?"

"What, indeed? And I suppose you'll be wanting a pass to excuse you." "What a good idea." "You always have been one to seize an opportunity." Elwin handed Keefe a slip of paper. "Session won't be over for another half hour, so I'd walk slow if I were you."

"Oh, I can't leave yet-not until I know Sophie will be okay." "Mmm-hmm. So, where's the burn?" He asked Sophie.

Elwin frowned. "This looks looks like an acid burn. How'd you manage that?" "Um, I exploded the serum I was making and destroyed Lady Galvin's cape."

Elwin cracked up. "Wish I could've seen that."

Two months had passed since Sophie moved to Havenfield. She barely saw any of her friends because she was trying to figure out how they time traveled. She had no luck.

Amy was always over with the triplets. Biana was trying to keep Fitz away so she could be alone. She was also trying to distance herself from Keefe because it was so hard to lie to an empath.

Sophie had just leapt to Havenfield. Amy was home. She was helping Edaline and Grady subdue a very angry wooly mammoth. "You're just in time." Grady called to her as he ducked under a swinging trunk. He pointed to a shivering purple lump. "Can you get the verminion in a pen?"

Sophie sighed. "Alright, lets get this over with." Sophie creepy toward the people mound of fur. A twig snapped under her foot.

"Nice verminion."  She cooed, taking a step back.

SNAARRLLL!

Sophie grabbed a glob of mud and hit the verminion in the gut. The verminion chased her into the pen, but she was trapped in with it. "Amy! A little help?" Amy raced towards them.

"What do I do?" "Just get it to look at you so I can hop on its back." Amy threw a stick at it and it turned towards her. Amy screamed. Sophie jumped on its back and pushed her hands on each side of the verminion, causing it to throw up everything it ate.

"Amy, go grab a bag and some gloves to pick this up." Sophie called. She let go of the verminion, but held it still with her telekinesis.

Amy came running back. "Alright, now hold the bag open so I can get everything in there." Sophie ordered. She started throwing everything in the bag until Iggy was the only thing left. She picked him up and told Amy to hop on her back so they would go faster.

Edaline saw them and came over. "Edaline, we need your help. We found this imp in the verminion's mouth and he's still alive." Edaline grabbed him. "Alright. Lets give him a bottle of youth."

She conjured an eyedropper and a bottle of youth. "I need to help Grady. Do you think y'all can take care of him?"

"Yup. No problem." Sophie grabbed the eyedropper and started giving him some water. "Don't die, Iggy." He let out a purr. "Good boy."

"How the patient?" Great asked from the doorway. "He's doing really good. He's resting now." Edaline nodded. "That's a good sign. Do you want to wash up and have some dinner?"
