Chapter 5 New life, again

A/n this one is a bit shorter but enjoy😊

Della and Grady were waiting outside. Della wrapped her arms around Sophie in a tight hug. "Why's their a human here, Fitz? She shouldn't be here." Alden said. "I'm an elf to. Hi, I'm Amy Foster, Sophie's sister." Any said. Della pulled away from Sophie to look at Amy.

"Are y'all okay?" Della asked. "Not really." They both answered at the same time. Alden nodded. "It gets easier from here." "I hope so." Amy said, hugging Marty. "What do we do now?" Della and I are going to personally oversee your family's relocation. Fitz can help you get settled in here while we're gone."

"Will we be living here?" Amy asked. Della wrung her hands. "We would love that-we even offered. But the council wanted you placed with other guardians." I selected them personally, they're good friends of ours. You're going to like them." "Okay." Amy said. "We'll talk more tomorrow," Alden said. "Rigt now we have to get going. Fitz, Elwin's waiting to see Sophie. You'll also have to tell him about the unexpected guest." "Why don't you take them inside, Fitz?" Alden suggested. "Elwin's waiting for her in the conservatory."

Fitz led them away. "Who's Elwin?" Amy asked. "He's a physician. He's going to do a quick physical on you." Even though Sophie new Elwin was good, she still hated doctors, so she was hesitant.

"What's wrong?" Fitz asked. "She hates doctors." Amy answered for her. "I'll be fine though. Elf physicians are nicer than humans. Right?" Sophie assured them.

"Well, that's interesting." Elwin said after Fitz finished explaining why Amy was there. Elwin lifted Amy's right arm. "What're you doing" Amy asked. He snapped his fingers, creating a ball of green light around her elbow. "See? Harmless" Amy stared at the glowing orb. "How'd you do that."

"I'm a flasher. I can manipulate light the way i want it- thouh I'm not as skilled as Orem Vacker. You'll see his crazy light show on the next total eclipse. It's one of our biggest celebrations.

"Whoa, this is crazy." Elwin said after a minute. "What's wrong?" Amy asked. "I wouldn't say it's wrong, but it's definitely not right. You're human, but you're also an elf. Your cells are insane." Fitz frowned "how, that could get someone in trouble, we're not supposed to cross. Elves marry elves, and humans marry humans." "Well, maybe I'm wrong. It could just be a glitch in.. something." Elwin said it like he was trying to convince himself as much as them. "You can sit up now" he told her.

Now, try not to let this worry y'all, but your bodies still need major detox. We'll with these." Elwin handed Sophie and Amy each a bottle of youth to drink. "Good. All of us drink one of these every day, but I want both of you to drink two for a while, to make up for Lost time.

"I don't have a few of the medicines you need, but I'll give Alden a list. I want you to come see me in a couple weeks for a followup. Anyway, y'all should get some sleep. You've jad a big day. I'll see you in a couple weeks."

Sophie grabbed Amy and went to their room, they changed into their pajamas and, with Marty on her pillow, they fell asleep. She was stronger with her sister by her side.
