i'd like to talk a little bit about prayer, while most of us view it as an obligation it's actually a privilege.
we have this amazing opportunity of speaking to allah at least 5 times a day yet most of us don't pray in time, if we even pray at all.
i'd like to try to change that perspective a bit, we need to realise how fortunate we are, how lucky we are that we get this chance to be so close to allah.
during prayer you get the chance to talk to allah, it's something so intimate and so personal that we don't appreciate or value enough. instead we see it as a chore, a burden that we need to get out of the way.
yet when we're on our death bed, when we're returning to allah swt, we will wish that we could pray just one more prayer, we will wish that we had more time to worship allah the way we should've been doing this whole time.
what i'm trying to say is, while yes all of us want to go to jannah and we can't enter except with allah's mercy doesn't mean that we shouldn't work for it, after working for it we'll go in with allah's mercy in sha allah.
most of us can't wake up for fajr yet we're all wide awake for our school or work, we don't wake up for our creator yet we're up extra early for his creations.
we pray maghrib with isha because we were out of the house and "didn't get the time".
we pray dhuhr with asr because we were taking a nap.WE NEED TO WAKE UP!!
we need to realise what we're doing and fix it.
we wonder why all these problems are happening to our ummah when we don't even do the basic worship. we don't pray, we don't fast, we wonder why everything not working out, do you really think our ummah is going to last? not this way.
we need to understand the significance, the importance of what we're doing, or what we're not doing to be more precise.
we need to at least try, try our best to become better people because as a muslim you don't just represent yourself, you represent your family, your friends, the entire muslim ummah, so beware of what you do and do your best to become the best muslim you can be.
