You know the short poem that goes "The heights by great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight, but they, while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night." yeah I feel that basically defines me as a student and overall person. Any hours of night or early morning you'll find me sitting by my laptop doing some work or assignment. As a teenager that's classified as poor I grew up with the mindset of always trying to find someway to make money but not fast money.

No scamming roun here!!!

Laughing at my subconscious, I quickly finished up the Principles of Business SBA for a client before starting to pack up.

A little over two years ago I realised that being dedicated to my studies could be used as a way to make money, so I created an Instagram page and got myself a new number and started to offer my services. I do full SBAs, essays, presentations and so forth at a cost. My business has tremendously grown and its safe to say that I don't need my parents money to help sustain me in school. If I knew how much people would pay to do their assignments I would have started doing them quicker.

My parents are well aware of my little side hustle but has told me to save up everything I make to go towards college fees as they knew they wouldn't be able to afford it. I wasn't really depending on my funds to pay for my way through college, as one it wasn't enough and two I feel like I'm smart enough to get a few scholarships.

Regardless of the school I attend, I realised pretty early in my high school years that friends and partying weren't gonna bring me far so instead I found companionship and enjoyment in my books. Otherwise from Jaylen and Jinelle, I only have one other person I'd call my friend and her name is Monique. She approached me in grade 10 with the idea of me running for head girl while she ran for student council president as a form of a duo. I'm the brains and she's the body sorta more like social personel.

After we won, she became my other half when it came to school matters and our friendship quickly blossomed from there.

Making sure that everything was in order so I could wake up a little bit later than usual, I grabbed my stuffed animal and cuddled him closed to my chest before dozing off.

Taking up my books off the table and deciding to walk with them in my hands instead of putting them in my bag I made my way out of the classroom. I've come to the realization that staying up late is probably no longer for me.

I've been grumpy and draggy all morning long and now it was lunch time and all I wanted to do was go into my form class and sleep but I-

Being dragged away from my thoughts as I felt my body falling back and my books falling out of my hands, I held my head up to see Mr. Anonymous standing there with a mean look on his face.

I called him that because I don't know him but ever since Monday I've been seeing him around. Mostly when his friend would come to flirt to Jaylen but he never seemed to notice me.

"I'm sor-"

"why yuh nah look weh yah guh likkle girl???"he questioned while brushing off the arm of his shirt even though there wasn't any dirt on it.

"dutty up mi white shirt fi nun, swear mi nuh know why dah school yah accept dunce pickney ennuh"he continued

"uhm, what! if yuh did a look weh yah guh instead of gallivanting wid yuh fren dem then yuh white shirt wouldn't mess up" I snapped back
