"Mi swear to God a she and Keem mi just see." I tried to convince Kevin.

I just went to collect something from Leon's car for him, and I swore I saw Savannah and Ackeem entering a black car that was parked towards the back of the parking lot.

"Yuh sure yuh nah be delusional cause yuh fuck up" he asked.

"No dwaq" I hissed my teeth and walked off.

"Wah even a gwan wid unuh?, think yuh did seh unuh almost kiss when mi sen yuh ova yah yadd last week"

"We did but mi text har Monday a try explain mi thoughts and ask har if we coulda talk but she neva respond so mah lowe her, cause it seem like she nuh know weh she want from me and mi tiad a dis back a forth ting now" I said honestly.

"True, a from unuh meet unuh a guh back a forth, from vex to mek up back to vex" he laughed.

"Unuh nuh plan fi lock unuh doors dem now, mi wah gahh mi yadd" I turned to face Leon and Majia.

I've officially moved in with them over this past week and things have been going well so far.

Hopefully it stay suh.

"Yuh know seh a two car out deh, you and Kevin can cut ennuh" Leon pointed to the keys.

"Ehhh, a weh yuh nah seh." I made my way towards the keys to pick one up.

"Nuh fuck yuh self Aiden" Majia cussed catching us all off guard.

"Five lessons, nuh mean seh yuh adequate enough fi drive home by yuhself, unuh nuh piss me off" she continued staring at Leon.

Raising my hands in surrender, I back away from the keys and go to hug her as I knew that she was serious as she cursed.

"Leggo mi man, cause unuh just know how fi get pon mi nerves" she tried to shake me off.

Di way she moody from day, a muss har period she deh pon or she a breed.

"Kevin, turn round di sign and draw dung di shutters and start prepare unuh seh fi leff up." Leon spoke from the corner of the room.

Letting go off Majia, I walk back towards the staff room to pick up our bags before making my way back.

It was just the four of us left, as the other two workers that were here today had already left.

"Wah unuh ago eat?" Leon asked while clearing the cash register.

"Me feel fi some kfc," Majia spoke first.

"Hmmmm." Leon shaked his head while devouring the plate of rice and peas and fry chicken infront of him.

"Aye, when him done him nah guh badda wah my cooking nuh more" Majia laughed while taking a sip from her glass filled with sorrel.

This is peace.

This is what I want to look forward to at the end of a hard week.

For some strange reason, my situation has brought together what I'd like to call my family.

My mom, grandma, Leon, Miles, Majia, Melissa, and me were seated around a makeshift dining table, enjoying my grandmother's cooking.

They wanted to do this every month to try and build me a safe and healthy environment.
