Can imagine the likkle holiday finish already?
School had started back today and has already been hectic.
It's now almost lunch time and I've been in this Maths class for the past two hours.
Yes two hours, hate dem class yah wid a passion.
My holiday ended on a good note though, I went to the beach on Saturday and church the Sunday. And I allowed myself to be lazy on Monday.
Me and Aiden are now friends, we've been texting ever since Jaylen pushed me to check up on him Friday evening after he left our group abruptly.
"Okay class, I'll let you guys out ten minutes early but please don't forget to practice as you have a test next week Wednesday" Mr. Hall said as he rubbed off the whiteboard.
Flopping unto my desk as chatter filled the classroom and the sounds of students leaving became louder.
Unfortunately Monique didn't come to school today and she's my only friend in my math class so that means I'd be stuck by myself for the next ten to twenty minutes the most.
Lifting up my head, I closed my maths book and pushed my pen, pencil and eraser into my pencil case before turning around to open my bag.
Pushing my maths book to the back, I checked the book at the front to confirm my next subject before putting in my pencil case and closing my bag all together.
Ago guh unda the tree and text Jay and Elle to meet me there.
Walking out of the classroom, I was quiet pleased as a gush of wind blew through the semi empty corridors.
It was before upper school lunch time so most students we're still in class or by the tuckshop trying to order before the rush.
Thank God for head girl privileges, cause me and dat line neva yet can gree.
"psstt, suh yah guh continue walk pass mi like wi annuh fren" a familiar voice called from behind of me before the person wrapped their arms around my waist.
"I hope you know seh the school have a no touch policy Ackeem" I replied as I spun out of his hold looking around to see if anyone spotted us.
As head girl, or as a girl overall in this school you cah mek them ketch yuh being too friendly wid no boy.
News spread like covid innah dah school yah.
"ah fair fair" he said holding up his hands in surrender.
"nah tek me up pon mi offer tho Sav?" he continued.
While we were out Friday, we ran into Ackeem and he told me that he'd like to take me out.

"mah guh cut now stills but before me cut, me cah pull yuh one a way n show yah pree" Ackeem asked with a wide smile.
"Jay mi soon come, ago follow Keem gah bus stop" I told her before walking off with Ackeem.
While me and Jay were walking aimlessly around the mall earlier we ran into Head Boy Ackeem or Head boy Keem as we call him.
Even though we're on the committee together, we haven't been able to have an actual conversation apart from school and student matters since school has started as we were both busy and in opposite grades. He was in lower six.
