After that phone call from the secretary, I took a lazy stride to the auditorium usure if I wanted to attend the meeting, but how could I miss it when I was about to meet my everyday nightmare.
On my way to the auditorium I met with Alice who joined my lazy stride. We walked silently, in fact, it was an awkward kind of silence because I couldn't shake off the weird feeling that Alice my frenemy kissed me and left me stunned in the elevator.
"Alice, why did you kiss me? are you trying to prove your theory that I'm a dyke?" I asked her with furry evident on my face and voice. "Not here Valerie, we have a meeting waiting for us, oh, and where's your white crush chick, she's always at your tail, oh, I get it, they married her and now you're a free agent." She then opened the auditorium door, I followed suit receiving a peck my cheek from Alice who then walked away in another direction, I shook my head in the most unpleasant way rubbing my cheek where she had placed her lips._she was so unbelievable_was what I thought to myself.
I stood in the corner of the auditorium because I didn't feel the need to sit down because I even missed my morning workout. Eventually Jason joined me and he started giving me the world's gossip. "Do you know the rumor circulating amongst the workers?" He asked me. When you needed all the exclusive trendy gossip inside the company walls and outside, Jason would be your man. "Just spill Jason, you know I'm not a patient person." I warned him.
"Okay,relax, let me tell you. They say the new C.E.O is as hot as her temper and that she changes workers the same way she changes her cars. She doesn't tolerate laid back workers." I laughed at his silly face after telling me his gossip. "What's funny Valerie? I'm just scared as everyone else is and you should be more scared since it's you who's gonna be closer to her than anyone else." He raised his concern but the look on his face was more funny than anything else, so I laughed harder while bending a little towards him.
After laughing at Jason's silly face, the President came to address us. "As you all know that I laid off the previous C.E.O because of his incompetence, I decided to appoint someone who's more qualified and capable of handling that position, I appointed this person not because she's my daughter, but because the board saw capabilities in her work, she has been the deputy C.E.O in our overseas company and today I've decided to introduce her to you," As the President kept on ranting, I blocked out the speech, because it was getting boring.
"Hey Jason, I'm bored, any more gossip for me to know about the new C.E.O or someone else in that matter?" I whispered in Jason's ear.
"Though I wouldn't like to be talking at the same time as the president but this gossip is very juicy." He smiled maniacally at his failed attempt to mimic news reporters which elicited a loud laugh from me and everyone turned their heads to look in my direction, and I also looked back searching for the person who might have laughed when the president was praising his daughter but there was no one else behind us.
I then forced my eyes to look in front and guess what, the president was standing there and so was my stalker. The reason why she was up there was still unknown.
She looked at me with the world's hugest smirk on her face and raised her eyebrows at me.
"What the...," she's white, so is Mr. Williams, she has blue eyes, just like Mr Williams, brunette hair just like the President. _How could I not have seen that coming? I was so stupid she was the C.E.O, I was about to work under her._ What a nightmare coming to life!
"Ms. Victoria, are you done chit chatting with your boyfriend so that we can carry-on?" I know you're wondering why I'm Victoria, yes, Victoria would be my middle name but it was what I used as my surname as well. I didn't use my traditional name because I thought my tradition was ridiculous. First of all, in my tradition, they think men are of great value than women. We will go through what I hated about my tradition untill the end of it all not forgetting the harsh treatment towards the homosexuals. For now let's focus on the matter at hand. Anna was my C.E.O, rather, my boss.
I think I forgot how to blink and all I was seeing were her lips moving. Meaning she was saying something but I was so engrossed in zoning out rather than focusing on what she was saying.
"See what I told you, she's so hot." Jason got me out of my trance by nudging me in the sides.
"Yeah, she's hot." Is all I responded and kept on looking at her analysing every feature of her body. She was indeed a masterpiece, but guess what, she was not the one I wanted, the one I wanted was Skylar not Anna.
She was wearing a black pencil skirt with a white shirt tucked in, her chest Buttons were halfway opened giving you a clear view to her cleavage. _ I think I was already checking out my boss_ . I averted my eyes and tried focusing them in other places than drooling over her.
As I moved my eyes, they met with Alice's and she held my gaze and thy winked at me a little bit.
I averted my gaze and focused it in another direction. _It was going to be a long day_.
"I wanna get out of here." I whispered to Jason, and afterwards prepared myself to leave that place which had started suffocating me.
"We're not done here Valerie." Ms. Williams stopped me in my tracks, halted my movements and went back to my original place then waited for that boring session to get done. _I started wishing Sky was there, I missed her already._
I started hearing murmurs "how come she knows her name first name?" "she's her C.E.O what do you expect." "Maybe she's also a dyke like her." Murmurs erupted into noise which angered the boss lady.
"Will you stay quiet and let me finish or should I write you suspension letters?" Anna scolded my coworkers and I internally rejoiced.
"As I was saying, I don't tolerate laziness, and so all of you should be at your "A" game, you're dismissed here, Valerie stay behind."The day was getting longer than expected.
"You're doomed buddy." Jason said while tapping on my shoulder and then scurried away as if the room had caught fire. I laughed while shaking my head. "What's funny prince?" Since when was I a prince? Alice should be delusional, at one moment I was a dyke, then I became a price. I just didn't know what had gotten into her head, that girl might be going crazy or maybe bipolar and we should be alerted before she hurt herself or us in that matter. So I paid no attention to whatever that crazy girl was saying and so I just waited for everyone to be out of that place so that I could see what Anna wanted from me.
"Meet me in the parking lot after work I'll be there waiting for you, perhaps you wanna know why I kissed you." she said the last part while looking straight into my eyes seductively and then licked her bottom pink lip. Afterwards she moved out while swaying her hips in the process. I might have hated her but she was a beautiful girl, her melanin was on point, she had a well built booty, and those thighs, I would like to squeeze them. "Are you done checking out your workmate?" Anna got me out of my mind.
"No, I wasn't checking her out, in fact I hate her." I turned to pick my court from where I had dropped it and turned to face Anna but she was already extremely close. "Can you give me some breathing space?" I asked while looking at Anna's lips and then into her eyes and she was doing the same thing. "I won't tolerate any competition Princess, and that girl won't be my competition." I laughed while shaking my head. "I'm not a prize to compete for, and neither of you will get me, so tell me why you kept me behind." I tried changing the subject because it was becoming uncomfortable to me. "I'll kill her if she comes near you ever again, and guess what, I don't lose, you'll be mine in no time Princess." What's up with people calling me names, God, I was no royalty, I was just a nobody who was working her ass off to survive that cruel world.
She started moving dangerously closer to me until her body was pressed against mine. My breath hitched into my throat which led me to swallow hard, she leaned into me like she was about to kiss me, my eyes instinctively closed automatically.
Something vibrating in my pockets snapped me out of my trance. I got into my pockets to find my best friend's name displayed on the screen.
"Hello princess." I chimed excitedly through the phone. "Hey my love." Knots formed into my stomach upon hearing her addressing me that way, and I plastered a very big smile on my face. "You told me to inform you once we land, we've arrived and we are only staying a night, tomorrow we're returning, Dev said that something came up at work and he needs to be there as soon as possible. I miss you already." She said the last part delicately.
Another big smile on my face formed. "I knew you won't last a day without missing me." I flirted with my best friend.
Anna came closer to me again and pushed me behind until I was sitting on top of the table. I just went with whatever she was doing because I was more engrossed in talking with my best friend that I didn't mind about whatever Anna was planning to do.
She parted my legs and stood in between my thighs, she brought her head in the crook of my neck and brushed her soft lips on my skin and started kissing me slowly and sensually. A small moan escaped me. "Everything okay my love?" Sky questioned me from the other side of the line. "Yes, give me a minute I'll call you back later, I'm in the middle of something. I love you" I hung up even before hearing what she had to say and gently pushed Anna slightly away from me, and then I hopped off the table, fastened myself and ran away from that place because it was getting hotter than necessary.
