Chapter 12: Told you so

Everyone headed out and went their own ways. Alastor and Lucifer decided to meet up in a less busy area for three reasons

1. Not too many people there to notice them and spread rumours

2. All the hotel residents would likely want to go to the larger more popular businesses

3. Nobody went there because most saw it as dangerous

The "less popular area" was Cannibal Town! Not many people wanted to go there due to the fact that they had a chance of becoming someones lunch but most people there liked Alastor and nobody wanted to hurt him, and since Lucifer was with him not many would want to harm him either, that and he's the king of hell.

L: Soooo where exactly are we going to get outfits for this thing here?

A: Well I am friends with Rosie, the overlord in Cannibal Town and she owns an emporium! One of the things she sells happens to be clothes so I thought it would be a fun way for you to meet her and also be productive at the same time.

L: Oh cool!

They made it to the emporium and once they opened the door and who Lucifer assumed to be Rosie had noticed them, her eyes widened along with her smile

R: Alastor!

She immediately walked over to them, her smile still beaming

R: Oh and ain't this a surprise! If it isn't the king of hell himself!

L: Please no need for the titles, just call me Lucifer!

Rosie shot a look and a small smug grin at Alastor who hadn't noticed himself starting to stare at Lucifer. As soon as he noticed Rosie looking at him he remembered their conversations from a while ago and realised that's why she was giving him that look. He put his face in his hands before letting out a deep annoyed sigh

A: Yes Rosie you were right about the whole love thing you can stop looking at me like that now

L: Wait what's happening?

Rosie took that statement from Alastor as he had started dating Lucifer, although Lucifer still didn't know Alastor had gone to Rosie for help or barely even who she was for that matter.

R: I told ya! Alastor you've gotta have faith in me, especially with romance! You know it's my speciality

L: Is anybody going to tell me whats going on because I am very confused!

A: Rosie don't you dare-

R: Alastor came to me trying to figure out if he liked you and denied that it was love until one day he came back, still not sure about liking you but was thinking he might. All I have to say is I told you

Alastor's face was getting slightly redder with each word for a multitude of reasons, one main one being embarrassment.

A: WE SHOULD GET TO THE REASON WE CAME HERE!

Lucifer and Rosie both laughed at Alastor's attempt to change the subject but he had a point so they let him have it

R: Anyway I'm Rosie, what brings you two here anyway?

A: The hotel is hosting a ball of sorts and Charlie has tasked everyone to get outfits for themselves! I was wondering if maybe you could help with that?

Rosie's face lit up as she immediately pulled the two into another room with things like tailors tape, change rooms and other such things.

R: Of course I can help you! Whats the theme?

L: Well there isn't really a theme, that doesn't help but it is the unfortunate truth

R: That shouldn't be too much of a problem with who I work with

L: Really? who do you work with that could get by without any ideas or anything?

R: Oh I work with Velvette! She is quite good with fashion and what not, she's also an overlord!

Lucifer thought back to a conversation he had with Alastor about the vees, it seemed odd to him that one of Alastors closest friends would be working with one of them seeing as Alastor despised them

L: Aren't the Vee's a bunch of assholes though?

R: Velvette is pretty okay compared to the rest, I mean she can make good clothes and make a meeting interesting when she decides to show but that's about as far as the "friendship" extends. It's more of business acquaintances than anything

L: Oh! I didn't really expect that to be honest... So uh what now exactly?

R: I'll take you and Alastors measurements and send them off to her! Easy stuff, she'll know exactly what to do given she knows the both of you! I mean seeing as you are quite literally the king of hell everyone knows you even the people you don't! Same goes for Alastor as the radio demon

She got to work on getting some measurements and what not and was done decently quickly. After she had finished with what she needed the two started to head back to the hotel. As they were walking Alastor started to think about how sweet it was and how happy it made him that his best friend and boyfriend were getting along so well so fast. After a moment of thinking about it he started to think about it all again... How close he was getting to everyone... What was he doing? This wasn't apart of what he was supposed to be doing at all.

He was being weak

He hated showing weakness yet here he was again, getting close with more people than he had ever planned to in his whole life. He had to do something but he in absolutely no way wanted to leave anyone... What was he supposed to do now? There was only one thing he could do

Wait and pay the price for his actions

I'm so sorry for my inconsistent posting and if you are somehow still here THANK YOU SO MUCH I thought maybe my mental health would get better in the summer but it has not for the most part but I'm trying to get out chapters as much as possible!
