Chapter 14: Take My Hand

It had been about half an hour since the party started and while everyone got settled into the hotel and actually started talking, Alastor and Lucifer kept their distance yet again trying not to attract attention. After a few drinks Alastor walked out to the balcony to get some air, Lucifer noticed him leave and decided to follow short after to just have a chat with him. Maybe he was telling the truth and was just busy like he said, Alastor seemed to never show any feeling for the most part though so if something was affecting him this much it must have been serious. As Lucifer thought the more his mind wandered into a million different directions but he had finally made it to the balcony and could now put his thoughts to rest.

Alastor was leaning on the railing, looking down at the city. Lucifer walked over and stood next to him, neither breaking eye contact with the world bellow. Lucifer let out a deep sigh before getting ready to speak but was cut off by Alastor

A: I apologise if me being gone more lately has worried you in any way

Lucifer was stunned to say the least at Alastor even bringing it up let alone apologising since he seemed so set on making sure no questions could be asked. His head quickly turned to look at the other demons

L: Wait what did you just say?

A: I apologised for my unexplained absence

L: Wow, didn't expect that one, I'm gonna take a guess and say you're at least a bit drunk right now aren't you

A: Yep, although one thing I have been thinking since I was sober was that your outfit suits you rather well

Lucifer had been thinking the same, though he decided to point something out he knew Alastor wouldn't want him too just to mess around a bit

L: Sooo your letting your tail show now? Seemed pretty obvious to me before that you weren't the biggest fan of doing that~

A: Oh shut up you know we didn't have a say in the outfits

L: Heheh someones getting mad, fine then if that't how your gonna be we could always go back to hating each other!

Lucifer made sure to make it clear that that was a joke, playfully smiling at Alastor who was now looking back at him.

Lucifer decided to have a little fun and held his hand out for Alastor to take as he started to sing

L: I just really hate your face Though I know that won't surprise you But, to me, your skin is one giant wart And your laugh's one big snort And you stink, so in short I despise you

Alastor took his hand as he stood up from his previous position, leaning on the railing

A: You disgrace the demon race because you're more of a mosquito I would rather have the dentist and drill Then this swine in the swill And if you were a bill, I would veto

The two began to dance together, somehow completely in sync yet with no preparation or communication

L: And if the world was perfect, you would be gone without a trace

A: But since the world could never be that great

L+A: I'll just hate your stupid face
