Chapter 4

Third pov

After leaving the SC office, Y/n head back to his class. He doesn't understand why Sona was staring at her chess board, but he decided to let it go.

He reached his classroom on time and went to his seat. Terrence, Falco, and Cruz were already in their seats.

"So, what did the SC want?" Terrence whispered to Y/n after turning around.

"We'll have to talk about this at the apartments." Y/n replied whispering back.

"It's that serious?" Falco whispered into the conversation.

"Yes, it is." Y/n replied.

"Alright, we'll wait until we get home." Terrence said before he turned back to face the board.

After school was over, the four brothers walked home. But on their way, Cruz had a feeling that someone was stalking them. He tapped on his brothers shoulders and did American sign language.

"You guys get the feeling that we're being stalked?" He hand signaled.

"Yeah, I felt the same thing." Falco did the same back.

Terrence looked back to check if there's anyone following them. Thanks to his mutation, he can switch from normal vision to infrared. He sees someone hiding behind the bushes. But he did a quick look around for a few seconds to not make it suspicious.

He replied using American sign language as well to let them know that he found the culprit.

The stalker remained hidden behind the bushes, she looked back at the brothers. But Y/n isn't with them. She could've sworn he was just with them.

"Stalking is a crime." Y/n said, who was right behind her.

The stalker jumped out of the bushes after Y/n startled her. It was Koneko, she catching her breath as the three brothers went to them. They looked at her with their arms crossed.

"Is there a reason why you're stalking us, Koneko? It's not like you." Falco said

"First of all, I'm not a stalker. Second of all, I was just following orders from Rias." Koneko said in a monotone.

"Following orders from Rias? Why is that?" Cruz questioned.

"I think it's because of me. All of you head home. I'll catch up later " Y/n said. The three brothers looked at him with confusion. They were hesitant, but nodded and left.

"I take it that Rias told you about yesterday, didn't she?" Y/n asked her while his arms were crossed.

"Yes she has, she just wants to make sure you're not in harm's way." Koneko replied.

"I appreciate that Koneko, I really do. But she doesn't have to do that, I can take care of myself." Y/n said to her.

"I understand that, but she insists and it's not just who attacked you and Issei. It's something else." Koneko replied in her monotone voice.

'Rias must've told her about the Predator.' Y/n thought to himself. He needed to say something to not let random people know of their conversation.

"Koneko, why not tell Rias that she and I talk about it." Y/n said to her uncrossing his arms.

She was about to reply. But stopped and understood that it'll be easier to have Y/n talk to Rias in person.

"I guess that'll work. But I have questions. How did you know I was here? How did you sneak up on me?" Koneko said to him.

"Cruz had a feeling we're being stalked, he used American sign language to let us know. Then Terrence found you. A piece of your white hair was hanging out a little bit out of the bushes. Finally, I flanked around and caught you red handed. It's better to catch the culprit, than let them run away. And to answer the latter, I watch my every step." Y/n answered. Koneko nodded and understood.
