Madis pov:
I wake up in my bed like i do every day i feel the hot new york sun on my skin which puts me in a good mood i walk out my room where i see melanie with my breakfast im eating at the table when something mel says catches my attention "i have a little gift for you..." i look up at her. She's holding a pink box with a ribbon."What..." she hands me the box, and i slowly open it, confused inside. i see a note. i read it when i see the words. Can i adopt you? My eyes light up. i feel tears form in my eyes. i look up at melanie, who is Ecstatic "omg yes!" I pretty much scream me and melanie hug for a long time then later on i text my parents telling them i want them to give up there rights and let mel adopt me to which they of course fight me about then melanie decides she will just call my parents my parents and mel have never spoken before so this was scary for sure melanie told me to wait in my room well she called Yet I was still listening at my door. When my mother picked up, and you can hear her even tho it was on speaker. Suddenly a friendly conversation started turning into a fight Even though my parents have never been my parents they were still wanting to keep me Melanie, who has been more of a parent to me than my own parents, was yelling at the top of her lungs. The loudest I've ever heard her yell. It was honestly scary, but I knew she would never yell like that to me. This reminded me of the time my older brother Ryan would always get yelled at by my mother and father, and I would sit by the stairs, listening to it. Ryan moved out the second he turned 18 and never texted any of us again, not even Me or Charlie. But that was fine.
Me and Ryan were never close. I was like 7 when he was 19. After a little while later I heard things quiet down and decided to leave my room.Melanie was off the phone with my mother and my mother had agreed to give up her rights and let melanie adopt me "you actually want to adopt me?"
