Its been a a few days since charlie moved in her and mel have been getting comfortable with eachother charlie is very shy and not super trusting of mel but shes slowly getting to know her today is new years eve ive always hated new years im really sensitive to loud sounds plus the fireworks all bring me back to when my dad would yell and hit and throw pans idk why but that was when charlie was 3 and i was 5 charlie doesnt remember it but i do today i woke up at noon mel and charlie were in the living room talking and giggling hearing this it made me smile despite my bad mood for it being new years eve i walk out my room to see that mel made me food but whenever im in a bad place my ed comes back and i just dont have the appetite to eat so i just join melanie and charlie mel looks a bit confused then speaks up "not hungry?" I nodd yes "okay just make sure u eat something today, please, " i agree and me and charlie play candyland for awhile me and charlie play for most of the day till 11:21pm its almost new years i can feel my anxiety start to rise so i head to my room to calm me down 5 minutes later melanie knocks on the door and i let her in she sits down in front of me seeing my distress she instructions me to breathe i didnt realize i was holding my breath she takes my shakey hands "you havent eaten today... what's wrong, love?" I can't eat when im stressed."im scared of fireworks, it brings back bad memories. " mel hugs me, holding my head, playing with my hair."im gonna be here for you, baby, okay?" She leaves the room and comes back with some head phones "theses should help. But them on its almost midnight. " Me and mel go to the living room where the ball drop is playing. It's 2 minutes before New Year's, and charlie and I wait excitedly, then when it's time, we count down from ten. 10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1 i hear a little bit of the fireworks go off, but it really only sounds like heavy footsteps. mel hugs me till the fire works go away

AN: When writing this, i realize that i dont think fireworks are allowed in New york, but idk
