It's me, hi! Sorry about the late update, I had a writers block. 🥲

It was a beautiful evening in Los Angeles, with the city lights twinkling like a million stars. Taylor and Travis had been invited to an exclusive party hosted by a mutual friend. The venue was a rooftop bar with a breathtaking view of the city skyline. Taylor was dressed in a stunning, sequined gown that caught the light with every movement, while Travis looked dapper in a tailored suit.

The night had started off perfectly. Taylor and Travis mingled with friends, laughed over cocktails, and enjoyed the ambiance of the chic gathering. They had become the center of attention, not only because of their celebrity status but also due to their evident chemistry and deep connection.

As the night progressed, Taylor excused herself to get another drink. Travis stayed behind, engrossed in a conversation with a couple of his NFL buddies. As Taylor made her way to the bar, she felt a tap on her shoulder. Turning around, she was startled to see her ex-boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, standing before her.

Joe looked as handsome as ever, dressed in a crisp white shirt and black trousers. There was a brief moment of awkwardness as they locked eyes, memories of their past relationship flashing through Taylor's mind.

"Taylor," Joe said, his voice warm but tinged with uncertainty. "It's been a while."

"Joe," Taylor replied, managing a polite smile. "It has. How have you been?"

"Good, good," Joe said, nodding. "Just busy with work, you know how it is."

Taylor nodded, feeling the tension in the air. "Yeah, I do. It's good to see you."

Before the conversation could continue, Travis approached, noticing the interaction. He placed a protective hand on Taylor's lower back, his presence grounding her.

"Hey, everything alright here?" Travis asked, his tone friendly but his eyes sharp as they assessed Joe.

Joe extended his hand, maintaining his composure. "Joe Alwyn. Taylor and I used to date."

Travis shook his hand, his grip firm. "Travis Kelce. Nice to meet you."

The three stood in a brief, uncomfortable silence. Taylor could sense the unease between Travis and Joe. She decided to break the tension.

"So, Joe, what brings you here?" Taylor asked, trying to steer the conversation to neutral ground.

"I'm here with some friends," Joe replied, gesturing to a group of people across the room. "I didn't expect to run into you."

"Small world," Taylor said with a strained smile.

Travis, picking up on Taylor's discomfort, decided it was time to move on. "Well, it was nice meeting you, Joe. We should get back to our friends."

Joe nodded, his expression unreadable. "Of course. Nice seeing you, Taylor."

As they walked away, Taylor let out a breath she didn't realize she'd been holding. Travis's hand remained on her back, offering silent support.

"Are you okay?" Travis asked softly once they were out of earshot.

Taylor nodded, but her eyes were distant. "Yeah, it's just... unexpected. We didn't part on bad terms, but it's still strange seeing him."

Travis wrapped his arm around her, pulling her close. "I get it. If you need to leave, we can."

Taylor shook her head, taking a deep breath. "No, I'm fine. Let's just enjoy the rest of the night."

They rejoined their friends, but Taylor couldn't shake the encounter from her mind. She tried to focus on the conversations around her, but her thoughts kept drifting back to Joe and the unresolved feelings that surfaced.
