CHAPTER-7: JOEY DOESN'T SHARE FOOD

VIKRAM POV

I was sitting in my room in darkness with a cigar in my right hand and a photo in my free hand. Why can't see just move out of my mind? Why can't I stay away from this girl? What has she done to me in this one month, why! Why! Couldn't I leave even when dada hukum approved my next mission?......UGHHHH

I was deep in my thoughts when my phone pinged with a message, I checked it immediately. It was a message from Aarna.

"There is an attack in the palace. I don't know how many are there but I've led them to the other side of the palace. Come soon, I'm hiding inside one of the room to the extreme end."

It didn't take me a second to move out of my room in urgency as there was no one as Amogh was out for business and maa sa must be in her room taking rest. I took a different route to west wing- I couldn't even fit in few doors.

She calls me arrogant bull for a reason ( I chuckled, yes! I heard her when she called me that)

I went on terrace and then jumped on one of the balconies of the wing, no one knows about this balcony apart from me, Amogh and Mrityunjay as we three have our torture chamber made in here...... basement is too out dated.

When I reached near the corridor and the scene irritated me to the next level.

'LEAVE ME.......WHERE ARE YOU TAKING ME? WHO IS YOUR BOSS?' I heard Aarna kept on shouting and resisting in his hold.

' that you'll get to know soon sweetheart but first co-operate with us and it will be less painful and more easy for us to complete our job.' one of them said turning towards her

' OH REALLY!!!......Guess what? Even I like to complete my mission with great ease and I would really appreciate if you guys will co-operate and leave her hand so that I can make it less painful for everyone.' I said while playing with my knife that I always keep on me to entertain myself just like now I'm gonna do.

They charged at me and I kept rooted to my place until I saw Aaru locking the door of the same room that filthy man has dragged her out.

Usually I take time to play along but right now I don't have that much time on me so I made it quick.

After 10 minutes everyone was lying on the floor and I took out my handkerchief to wipe their blood from my knife. I was about to take step towards Aarna but before that I saw Amogh running towards my direction

" Vikram where is Rani sa? Is she...is she alright?" He looked worried. I didn't said anything just pointed my finger towards one particular room.

As soon as he opened the door we saw Aarna lying on the floor. I panicked thinking about the injuries she might have got before I stepped in.

After 30 minutes

Amogh, Aarman and I were sitting infront of VIP ward room where as a team of doctors were checking on Aarna. Aarman turned towards me and asked me to accompany him outside.

" Vikram I need a favour from you, please. Yeh sab aaj jo Aaru ke saath hua I don't know who all are behind this attack but I'm worried about Nika. I want you to take care of Nika for few days. Please. She is far more sensitive and fragile than Aaru..... please na mat kehna mere bhai."

He looked desperate and worried. I could see that he hasn't slept for so many days due to his company and projects and I know why he is asking me to help him.

Today.....even I was relieved that My Mahi has gone to her mamu and mami's farm house to look after her animals. She does that once every month and I couldn't be happier that she wasn't in palace tonight.
