A few years later, it was a bright summer day, and the whole Weasley-Potter family were having a barbeque at the Potter house.

Teddy, Albus, James, and Rose Weasley ran around the yard, giggling, as Harry, Ron, Ginny, and Hermoine chatted at the picnic table.

James had taken Harry's wand off the picnic table nearby, and Albus, Rose, and Teddy ran after him to get it. Rose finally caught up with him, and snatched the wand from him. She playfully waved the wand around, and James vanished. Rose gasped, and covered her mouth with her hands.

Mommy and Daddy didn't see,
she thought, looking around. She ran around the garden, searching for him,

"James!" she yelled, running around frantically.

Over at the patio, Hermoine looked up and saw her 4 year-old searching for her cousin. She nudged Ron, and he saw her.

"What's Rose yelling about?" Ron asked. They listened for a moment.

"Jaaaamess!"

"I think she's yelling for James," Harry said. "Ginny, where's James?"

Ginny looked up from her copy of the Daily Prophet.

"Playing with Albus, Rose, and Teddy," she said. "Isn't he?"

The four stood up. Ginny and Harry looked around the garden for James, and Ron and Hermoine went up to Rose. Ron picked her up.

"What's going on, Rose? What happened?" Ron asked in his most non-panicking voice he could muster up.

"I.. I..." Rose lip trembled, and she started to cry. "I used Uncle Harry's wand and now James is missing!" she said in between sobs.

Hermoine looked at Rose.

"What!? Rose, you know better..." Hermoine said sternly, trying not to feel guilty for her first and only child bursting into tears.

"It was an accident, Mommy!" Rose said, putting her head down on Hermoine's shoulder.

Hermoine carried Rose to the back of the garden, where Ginny, Harry and Ron searched and talked. She gestured to Ron.

"Now Rose, you know you mustn't be touching Uncle Harry's wand, right?"
Ron said sternly.

"Wait, what?! What exactly did she do with my wand?" Harry said.

Everyone went silent. They heard laughter coming from the apple tree. They looked over, and saw James dangling from the tree upside-down, but he didn't seem to be in any sign of fear.

"Hey!" James said through his laughter. "Get me down!"

Ginny gasped, and got James down. She grabbed his shoulders.

"Are you okay, honey? How many fingers am I holding up?" She said, holding up 4 fingers.

"Umm, 2. Daddy, can we go watch the Quidditch match on the television before dinner?" James said. Ginny sighed, and nodded to Harry.

"Yeah, come on, buddy." Harry said, taking James' hand and walking inside.

"Mommy! I sorry! I didn't mean it!" Rose said, tugging on her mother's shirt.

"Just promise me you won't take anyone's wand without permission again." Hermoine said.

"I promise!" Rose said, and then ran off to play with Albus.

Later that day, everyone at the barbeque sat down for a delightful dinner. Teddy, James, Albus, and Rose sat on their "kids' blanket" nearby, and they all enjoyed their food.

After dinner, the guests all went home, except Hermoine, Ron, and Rose. The adults chatted and drank for a while, and the kids played around until it was time for bed. Hermoine and Ginny put the kids to bed, and Harry made the bed in the guest room. Ron Apparated home to gather all the things he and his wife and daughter needed, and came back in time for everybody to settle in.

It was a great day.
