Iya's POV

Nico was not lying when he said it will be a great gig.  I have never seen a merriment such as this.  The music was loud but appropriate, the lights were festive, the food and drinks are just creative, and the crowd is just unbelievable!  Our group were having so much fun and I even saw Diana having a fun night.  She's got the groove and now I can actually admit that I am insecure in that front.  She is born to dance.  Suddenly, Pietro's image came to my mind.  I wish he was here enjoying too.

Nico bumped into me.  "Nico, this is awesome!  Thank you for bringing us here!"

"My pleasure, my queen!"  Nico winked and danced away.

Like how good things must come to an end, our group could not stay any longer for the king gave us a strict curfew.  We were all exhausted and a bit tipsy, just a bit, because werewolves do not get drunk easily.  The moment we hit the road, everyone positioned for a nap.

I was dreaming of Sofia, Luca and I dancing in the festival when the side of our SUV crashed hard on a tree.  I could hear my ears ringing!  Moon goddess what has happened?

When I could finally focus, I saw our driver bloodied and unconscious.  Kara is out and Diana is just about shaking her daze.

"Diana, are you okay?"

"Luna, my leg hurts a bit.  Dammit, what happened?"  She then snapped like remembering a toll order. "Luna, are you hurt?"  She panicked.

"No, no, I just hit my head but the bleeding stopped, I think.  Can you please see Kara's condition?"  I asked.

Diana shook Kara and she started to grunt.  Kara's bleeding head is worst than mine.  We need help.

The three of us were about to exit the vehicle when growls were heard outside.  When we looked back, we saw a number of rogues battling with the royal guards.

"Ambush!  We were ambushed!  Quick, get out!"  Diana ordered. Diana concentrated and mind linked someone as Kara and I exited the SUV.

"The driver?" I worriedly asked.

"Leave him.  We will send someone to attend to him.  For now, your safety is top priority."  Diana explained.

We had a better view of the fight and it was dim.  Our royal guards were outnumbered by the rogues.

"We need to fight with them." I said.

"No.  We need to escape, Luna!"  Diana countered as Kara nods her affirmation.

"I can fight!  I have abilities."  I insisted.

"I will not risk your safety.  The alpha king will kill me if something happens to you!"  Diana is furious now.

Before we could make a run for the woods, a worm whole of  smoke and purple light appeared before us.  My heart was beating so fast like I am about to have a panic attack.

An elderly but regal man came through the portal-like smoke.

"Witch!"  Kara screamed in horror.

"Fuck!  That's the witch king!"  Diana added.

"King Malachi?"  I could not believe this!

The growls at our rear were becoming more intense.  The body guards and Nico's group are trying their best to aide us but the rogues would not let them.

Like instinct, my body produced the flame.

"Ahhh, thank you for making it easier for me to identify you, Iya!"  The witch king said.

"Come with me, my princess, I have searched long and hard for you.  Let me bring you to your real home and kingdom, just like your mother,"  he added.

"I am not going anywhere with you!"

"Well then, let us see about that."  He smirked.

He swiftly approached me and both Kara and Diana tried to block him but were easily thrown to the sides with just a hand gesture from King Malachi.

The witch king tried to pull my hand but was instantly burnt.  He cursed and was furious now.

"Stop this, do not resist, or I will kill your companions!"  He threatened.

He saw the instant worry in my eyes and laughed.  He found a weakness.

He turned to Diana and carried her by the waist like she weighed nothing.  Diana trashed and clawed but to no success.  They were at the rim of the portal now.

"Stop!  Let her go!"  I commanded.

Kara pulled my leg to stop me from following them.  "No!"

"Luna, do not!  Save yourself, please!  It's a trap!  Run!"  Diana frantically pleaded.  She is in tears now.

What should I do?  I cannot just let him take Diana.  I am the luna queen and Diana is a close friend of Pietro no matter what.  She is a member of our pack.  What kind of luna am I if I let her get kidnapped or killed? I am her only chance of escaping.

I sensed Pietro was near and soon enough he made a threatening growl.  Was Pietro furious that Diana was in danger?  I did not think long and kicked Kara a bit so that she would release me.  I moved forward to attempt to get Diana back.

"Iya, do not even think about it!"  Pietro warned.  "Iya, stand back for the love of the moon goddess!"  He roared.

Oh, so he was worrying after me?  I got confused.  I looked back at Pietro who was running fast towards us.  He saw my determined face and knew what I was about to do.  He was boiling mad and desperate now. "N-nooooooh!"

Kara and Diana were also screaming no when I jumped for Diana's arm.  I tried to pull her from the witch's hold as he triumphantly laughs.

And just like that, the portal closed, sealing the gap between me and Pietro.

Diana and I were transported to an unfamiliar kingdom.  The place was organized and quite modern, to my surprise.  Witches, I supposed that's what they are, were observing us, as the king paraded Diana and I.  We were bounded by magic shackles.  Diana was looking at me murderously.  She did not approve of my heroics.  I looked stupid and careless in her eyes.

"You are far more important than I could dream of.  How could you do this to Pietro?  I do not need saving if it meant YOU getting into danger!"  She hissed.

"I cannot just allow you to get hurt or killed, could I?"  I hissed back.

"Are you stupid of some sort?" She glared.

"What's done is done!  I command you to focus and work with me so that we can save our asses from this king!"  Geez, she is getting on my nerves!

An old woman in cloak caught my attention and she was doing hand gesture like an avatar doing water bending of sorts.  She repeated the movement as long as she could making sure I saw how it was done.  I knew that she was trying to make me remember it.  She was attempting to help me!  Moon goddess has not left us alone, she sent this woman to aide us.  When we passed her, I turned back and nodded my thanks and she walked away.
