Iya sacrificed her safety and almost her life to protect Pietro. It was in that moment when all curses have been broken. She paid the price of love. The moon goddess saw to it that Iya will heal fast from her battle injury.
Pietro held her hand all those hours that Iya was unconscious and recuperating. It was the longest 5 hours of his life. He had to be strong because Sonia pulls her strength from him.
When Iya awoken she told Pietro all the things she wanted to tell him back at the battle scene. Pietro and Sonia were elated with the news but mostly that Iya was okay and getting stronger and stronger. Pietro uttered a soft prayer to the moon goddess.

Three Years Later
"Valerio, stop blowing the candles on the cake! It is Sonia's birthday, not yours!" Diana shrieked. Valerio winked at her and ran away. Kieran chuckled at the side as if proud that his son is so mischievous.
"Ma, Da, when can I blow the candles on the cake?" Sonia impatiently asked, tensed that Valerio might succeed in blowing her candles before her.
Pietro smiled, "after the birthday song, remember?"
Sonia and Valerio's age gap never hindered their friendship and bond. Both are hybrids and can relate well with each other.
"Okay, everyone gather now, and let us sing happy birthday to Sonia," Iya said as if on cue to pacify Sonia's worries. Iya rubs and soothes her bulging belly to calm her incoming third pup who seem to want to join the excitement around.
Pietro took Rocco from the high chair to get him closer to his sister. Pietro got his wish of experiencing everything with Iya's pregnancy. Their one year old prince took much of his looks from the father. He is one gorgeous pup.
Just when they thought the party is about to conclude, a late visitor made her presence felt.
"Mrs. Jacob!" Sonia shrieked in delight! She caught Sonia in a tight hug and led her to the group.
"Ahhh, how is my favorite royal family?" She winked at Pietro. Pietro smiled, bowed and mouthed a thank you.
"Oh, Mrs. Jacob, how we've missed you!" Iya rushed and embraced her.
"My, oh, my! Alpha King and Luna Queen has been busy propagating." She teased as she rub Iya's belly and took Rocco from Pietro's arms.
Kieran laughed out loud making Mrs. Jacob turn to him.
"You laugh High King Kieran as if you and the High Queen Diana are not busy yourselves, hmmm?" She squint her eyes.
Diana blushed.
"It is given with us vampires. We are passionate creatures. We love to love!" Kieran proudly replied as Diana hit his arm to make him stop.
"We love to love!" Valerio echoed his father's words loudly.
The entire ballroom erupted in laughter.
"We will see promising things from my grandchildren, I see!" She touched the pups one by one, "I, Grandma Selene Jacob ,bless you Sonia, Valerio, Rocco, and little Mio," touching Iya's belly, "with special protection. Each one will have a beautiful story as to how you will meet and fall in love with your mate and beloved." Mrs. Jacob a.k.a moon goddess Selene bestowed.
Lastly, she uttered, "this is the price and prize of love," as she opened her arms to point to the happy creatures before her.
