Gautami's POV

I bumped into someone, but I didn't care. I went to the second floor, room 203. As I entered, it felt like my life had ended. My dad, my everything, was lying on the hospital bed, struggling to breathe. He called me over, and I approached with teary eyes.

"Beta, please marry him. He's really good, and his family is very sweet. They will never make you unhappy. I know Mr. and Mrs. Mohan. They're wonderful people,"
he said. Tears fell from my eyes. I was completely blank and broken at the same time. Then I heard someone call my name. It was Mr. Anand, the doctor. Dad was really tired, so he fell asleep. I went outside with the doctor.

"Gautami, his health is not good at all. If he has another heart attack, it will be hard to save him. He's very weak. Now, do what you want. We'll discharge him tomorrow. You can take him home in the morning,"
he said before leaving. I sat on the seats outside and started crying. That's when my mother came and held my shoulders.

"Can't you do just one thing for your dad? Believe us, he's really good. And he came here too."

I was shocked to hear this. He came here? But why? Is he acting, or is he really good? These questions swirled in my mind. Then my mom told me to go home and that she would stay there, but I didn't agree. I sent her home and stayed there the whole night.

The next morning, as the sun's rays fell on my eyes, I woke up. I was rubbing my eyes when I suddenly realized I had no money to pay the hospital bill.

"What should I do now? I have no money?"

I was thinking about all this when the doctor came and said,
"Everything is fine. You can take him home now."

"What? But I still haven't paid the hospital bill!"
I said, curious.

"The payment is done. A young man, about 25 or 26, paid it. He said he's like Mr. Kawale's son. You can go home,"
the doctor said.

I was shocked to hear this. Is he the boy my mom was talking about? He paid the bill? I asked the doctor about the bill.

"It's 7 lakh 50 thousand rupees."

My eyes widened. How rich is he? He spent 7 lakh 50 thousand rupees on his would-be father-in-law? What the heck?

I was frozen in place.

Then suddenly, I heard my mom's voice calling me. I turned and saw her standing with my dad. They were getting into a car.

I ran to them. I saw a boy get into an expensive car and drive away.

I got into our car and we went home.

In the evening, Sakshi and Arohi came to our house to meet Dad. I was standing in the corner of the living room.

"Gautami, what are you thinking? What are you going to do?"
Dad asked casually from the couch.

"I haven't decided anything yet. Give me some time,"
I said. I didn't want to marry a stranger, but I still remembered the doctor's words. I couldn't decide what to do.

"Gautami, I don't know him, but I guess he's good. He didn't hesitate to pay the hospital bill for Uncle,"
Sakshi said. I took a deep breath and replied.

"Okay, but did he accept me as his wife?"

"Of course, he did. That's why we're saying this,"
Mom said, looking serious. I was scared now.

"Well, arrange the wedding. I agree,"
I said. Everyone was really happy. They hugged each other, and happy tears fell from their eyes. Seeing them happy, an involuntary smile appeared on my face.

"Okay, so Sakshi and Arohi, please stay for dinner,"
Mom said.

"No, no, Aunty. We have some work. Actually, my brother is also getting married, so we have to do some shopping,"
Sakshi said. I was shocked to hear this. She has a brother too? She never told me. Well, why should I care?

They went home. I went to my bedroom. I don't know why, but I kept thinking about the guy who wanted to marry me. I tried to sleep but couldn't. Then I took my phone, thinking I could find him on social media, but the problem was, I didn't even know his name. What the heck? I tried to imagine him but failed. Gosh, why am I doing these stupid things? I turned around and fell asleep because I was really tired.

Abhyudaya's POV

"What?"
I stood up with a jerk.

"She agrees to this marriage?"

From everything I had heard about her, I was sure she would never agree. But now? Well, like other girls, she must be falling for my money too. I was going upstairs when I remembered something. Oh, I was going to ask Mom her name so I could find her on social media. How smart I am. I shouted from upstairs,

"Mom, what's her name?"

"Huh? Gau..."
she started to say but was interrupted by a loud call. It was Sakshi, my overreacting sister who is two months younger than me.

"Mom! Today, I'm so happy!"
she said while hugging Mom. One second, she came home at 9:56 pm? This late? Doesn't she care about anything? Doesn't she know how dangerous Mumbai is for girls? And she was literally shouting in our house? What the hell? What's happening in my house?

"You all are the dumbest, huh!"
I yelled, and they both looked at me. I'm a short-tempered man; I can't hold my anger. I went to my room and slept.
