The next day, Abhyudaya woke up with fresh vibes. He had enjoyed the entire Sunday with his friends. He sat on the bed while rubbing his eyes. He noticed that he was really tired yesterday and forgot to change clothes. He looked at the clock, 6:15 am.

He got out of bed and went to the washroom. At 6:45 am, he went jogging at a nearby park. Then he came home, did his morning routine, and got ready for the office.

He was standing in front of the mirror. He smiled as he saw himself looking like the CEO of Mohan Industries.

"I can't believe I'm here like this... After everything I've been through, after all the pain and betrayal. How could you do that to me? I gave you everything, trusted you with my heart, and you shattered it. But look at me now. I'm the CEO of a top company. I built this empire from the ground up. Not you. You thought you could break me, but you only made me stronger. Still, why does it hurt so much? Why can't I just let go of the anger, the bitterness? Because you were my world, and you turned it upside down. But I can't let that define me. I can't let you have that power over me. I've got to focus. There are people counting on me, a company that depends on my leadership. I can't afford to lose control, not now. Remember why you started this. Remember the sleepless nights, the endless work. This is your dream, your achievement. Don't let her take that away from you. Breathe. Stay calm. This anger won't help you. It will only destroy everything you've worked for. You have to be stronger than this, stronger than her betrayal. You're here because you fought for it, because you earned it. Don't let the past ruin your future. One step at a time. One day at a time. You can do this. You've already come so far."
He said to himself. And came out of his room. He took the car keys and went to the office.

At the office

As Abhyudaya entered, everyone wished him a good morning.

He nodded and went straight to his cabin. He got a message from Sakshi.

👤 Sakshi (The Evil😾)

"Oi gadhe"
~Sakshi

"Mind your language, Bandar"
~Me

"Same to youuu😾✋🏻"
~Sakshi

"Oi listen, Mom is saying after 1 month your engagement will be held. So take leave for that day. And tomorrow we need to go for your shopping. So be ready.
Engagement Date: 19th August, 2024💍"
~Sakshi

"Huhh... do whatever you want😤"
~Me

─ Message Ended ─

I frowned after seeing the message. Engagement in 1 month and wedding after 2 months? Who would believe that I'm the one who always said he would never get married? But this girl is also falling for my money. Huhh... forget it. Focus on your work, Abhi.

pov ended.

sakshi's pov.

"Huhh... do whatever you want😤"

"Huhh... what does he think of himself? Well, why should I care?"
I said to myself. Then I suddenly remembered, today I'm going to Gautami's house. I checked the time. It's 1:47 pm already?? I hurriedly got ready and booked a cab. I went to their house and saw Aarohi playing with Gautami's niece.

[A/N: Actually, Aarohi is an orphan. So she lives with Gautami's family.]

The whole day passed like this. In the evening, I was going to Gautami's room, and I heard...

"In the quiet moments, I find myself thinking about us. It’s like our souls were meant to meet, to intertwine, even if just for a short time. When we found each other, it felt like the universe was finally right, like all the stars aligned just for us. But now, it seems like those stars have drifted apart again, and I’m left wondering why. Do you remember the first time we met? It was like everything else faded away, and it was just you and me, two souls recognizing something familiar in each other. We had so many dreams, so many plans. It felt like nothing could ever come between us, like we were invincible. But here we are, separated again, and it hurts more than I can put into words. In a few days, I’m going to marry a stranger. But I loved you. You think I’m wrong, but why? Why, why? I miss you so much. I can’t forget you. Maybe you’ve also married someone, but what about our plans? What about the promises we made to each other? I can’t live without you. Every single day, I think about what we had, and it breaks my heart all over again. We talked about our future, our dreams, and now they feel like empty words. I don’t know how to move on from this. How am I supposed to be happy with someone else when my heart still belongs to you? I feel so lost without you. I wake up every day wishing things were different, wishing you were still here with me. It’s like a piece of me is missing, and I don’t know how to fill that void. I loved you more than anything, and now it feels like that love is tearing me apart. I just want to understand why things had to end this way. Why couldn’t we make it work? Why did it have to come to this? I can’t live without you. I don’t know how to face the future without you by my side. Every moment we shared, every memory, is etched in my heart. I just don’t know how to let go. I’m trying to be strong, but it feels impossible. I can’t live without you. It feels like the universe is playing a cruel joke on us. We found something so rare, so beautiful, and yet, we’re forced to let it go. How do you move on from a love like ours? How do you let go of something that felt so right? I don’t have the answers. All I know is that our love will always be a part of me, no matter where life takes us. We may be apart now, but our souls will always be connected. I hope that one day, in another life, we’ll find our way back to each other. Maybe then, we’ll finally get the chance to be together without anything standing in our way. Until that day comes, know that I’ll carry you in my heart. Our love was real, and nothing can ever change that. Goodbye, my love. Until we meet again."
Gautami was standing in front of the mirror. She was crying badly. I was just about to stop her, but someone held my hand. It was none other than Aarohi.

"Don't go. Let her spend some time alone. She lost such things. Don't disturb her. Let her cry."

Aarohi started moving. I also went with her. We were in the hall. Then in a few minutes, Gautami also came. Just then, Anjali Aunty came with a photo.

"Aunty, whose photo is this?"
I asked.

"That boy who is going to marry Gautami. Do you want to see?"
Anjali exclaimed.

"I'm not interested,"
Gautami said and angrily went to her room.

"Ignore her, ignore,"
I said as aunty obeyed my words and showed us the picture. My heart skipped a beat when I saw him.
