Amethyst Dorothein's POV

chapter 5

I was sprawled on the chaise lounge in my penthouse, flicking through a fashion magazine, when Marjorie walked in, a stack of papers in her hands. She looked more serious than usual, her brow slightly furrowed.

"Amethyst, 'yong schedules niyo po ngayon," she said, placing the stack on the coffee table in front of me. Her voice was calm, professional. I couldn't help but admire the way she always managed to stay organized and composed, no matter how chaotic things got.

I glanced up at her, and for a moment, I found myself lost in her eyes. There was a warmth there, a kind of steadfastness that I found myself drawn to more and more each day.

"Ohh, thanks Marj." I said, trying to focus on the papers. But my mind kept wandering back to her. The way her hair framed her face, the gentle curve of her lips when she smiled.

She started going over the schedule, highlighting the key events and travel plans. I nodded along, barely listening, more interested in the way her lips moved as she spoke.

"Uhh, okay ka lang?" she asked, looking at me with concern.

I snapped back to reality, realizing I hadn't heard a word she'd said. "Sorry, I was just. . . zoning out."

She smiled, a small, knowing smile that made my heart skip a beat. "Sabihin mo lang sa'kin kung hindi mo naintindihan sinabi ko."

I nodded, grateful for her understanding. As she continued explaining, I found myself watching her intently, captivated by her presence. There was something about her that made me feel safe, grounded, in a world that was often overwhelming and demanding.

She finished going over the schedule and looked at me expectantly. "May tanong po ba kayo?"

I shook my head. "W-wala. Okay na, gets ko na."

She gave me another smile, and for a moment, I wished I could reach out and touch her hand, feel the warmth of her skin against mine. But I held back, not wanting to cross any lines.

As she left the room, I realized that what I felt for her was more than just admiration. It was something deeper, something that scared me and excited me at the same time. And as I watched her walk away, I knew that I was slowly, undeniably falling in love with her.

The sun was just beginning to rise, casting a soft, golden glow over the city as Marjorie and I prepared to leave for my photoshoot. I was seated in front of my vanity, watching her in the mirror as she meticulously went through the checklist, making sure everything was in order. Her dedication never ceased to amaze me.

"Amethyst, nasabi ko na sa driver. Papunta na po siya dito mamaya maya." She said, glancing up from her clipboard. Her eyes met mine in the mirror, and I felt a familiar warmth spread through me.

"Thanks," I replied, trying to focus on applying my lipstick. My hand trembled slightly, and I cursed under my breath.

She noticed and came over, gently taking the lipstick from my hand. "Tulungan na po kita?" Her touch was soft but firm as she expertly applied the lipstick, her face inches from mine. I could feel her breath on my skin, and my heart pounded in my chest.

"'Yan," she said, stepping back to admire her work. "Ganda niyo po."

I looked at my reflection, then back at her. "Thank you Marj."
